Associate Project Manager
Digital nomads. Work from anywhereCompany: Mosaic Conseil
Mosaic Conseil operates as a small, remote workshop dedicated to rebuilding business artifacts with high precision. We take apart three year plans, pricing grids, and diligence files to put them back together based on the evidence found in the invoice ledger. Our process is focused and personal, ensuring every assumption is tested before a file is considered finished. We are currently assisting a prominent Italian financial services firm with the reconstruction of their internal valuation models and financial artifacts. This project requires meticulous coordination to ensure our evidence-based standards are met at every step.
About Mosaic Conseil
We are a boutique consultancy that chooses to stay small. We do not work on standing retainers and we do not produce slide decks. Instead, we return the same artifacts our clients sent to us, redrawn by hand and supported by a written argument. Every file we produce carries two names: the builder who created it and the challenger who argued against it. This ensures that we remain independent and focused on factual evidence. Because we are a fully remote team, we prioritize deep work and written communication over constant meetings. We focus our efforts on four specific sectors: financial services, healthcare systems, industrial networks, and growing software companies.
What you would do
In this role, your primary focus is to serve as the coordinator for the builder and challenger workflow. You will manage the movement of business artifacts through their reconstruction phases, ensuring that no file moves forward without its accompanying written argument. This is a fully remote position that requires a high degree of organization and a clear understanding of our procedural steps.
* Track the daily progress of builders and challengers to ensure artifacts are moving through the workshop on schedule.
* Document the specific arguments made during the challenger phase to maintain a record of why certain assumptions were accepted or rejected.
* Organize the delivery of final documents back to clients, including the handwritten notes and supporting documentation.
* Assist in managing the 90 day support window where we remain available to clients by telephone to answer questions about our work.
* Verify that all files meet our internal standards for evidence before they are sent for final review.
* Maintain the project logs that connect our findings to the clients invoice ledgers and physical records.
* Coordinate internal schedules for the brief, focused calls we use to replace recurring meetings.
Helpful background
We are looking for someone who values clarity and intellectual honesty. This is an entry level role, so we do not require a long history of professional management. We value technical comfort and a healthy skepticism of unverified data.
* Comfort using spreadsheets and financial software to track data points and project timelines.
* Strong writing skills and the ability to summarize complex arguments into clear, plain English.
* A background in business, economics, or a related field of study that provides a basic understanding of financial artifacts.
* High attention to detail, specifically regarding the consistency of numbers across different documents.
* An ability to work independently in a remote setting without needing constant supervision.
* Curiosity about how businesses actually function beneath the surface of their public reports.
* The discipline to follow a set process every time, regardless of the size of the project.
How we work
Working at Mosaic Conseil means stepping away from corporate theater. We do not have long standing meetings or unnecessary check-ins. We rely on the builder and challenger dynamic to ensure quality. As an Associate Project Manager, you will see how we take a file apart and rebuild it against the evidence of the ledger. This role is 100 percent remote, allowing you to focus on the work itself. We communicate primarily through written memos and telephone calls, valuing the accuracy of our arguments over the aesthetic of a presentation. We keep our workshop small so that everyone involved knows the details of the work being done.
What the role offers
This is a permanent, full-time position that offers a high level of autonomy. You will have the opportunity to learn a rigorous analytical method within the financial services sector while working for a firm that values deep work. The position is paid, and the compensation is competitive for the entry level market. Because we are remote, you have the flexibility to manage your workspace while contributing to high stakes projects for significant clients. You will gain direct experience in auditing and model reconstruction without the burden of slide deck production or a heavy meeting culture. We provide a space where logic and evidence are the only things that matter.
Our work is built on the principle that the truth of a business is found in its ledger, not its presentations. The Associate Project Manager helps us uphold this principle by ensuring our workflow remains disciplined and our evidence remains sound. It is a role for those who prefer the workbench to the boardroom and who want to understand the mechanics of how business artifacts are truly constructed.
