Associate — Private Equity (Oman/UAE)
@ibclubmsuA private equity group established in 2024 and based in Oman/UAE with a global mandate and a focus on the Middle East and Southeast Asia. The Group makes growth equity investments, typically taking significant minority positions with tickets of USD 30–100m+.
Responsibilities
The role covers the full investment cycle with primary responsibility for analysis of new opportunities as part of origination, financial modelling and valuation, preparation and presentation of materials for internal review and the investment committee, day-to-day management of transactions, participation in negotiation of commercial terms, and monitoring of portfolio companies post-investment.
Key Competencies & Qualifications
• 3–4 years of transaction experience: bulge-bracket or leading regional investment bank, private equity or direct investments, or Big4 transaction services / valuation
• Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to build effective relationships
• Advanced financial modelling and valuation skills
• Strong commercial judgement
• Ability to own workstreams end to end with limited supervision
• Fluency in English and Russian
Location & Travel
• On-site work in the UAE with business travel as required
