to offer that us (Asian) men do not have? And I am not talking about that thing.... you know .... maybe I could be wrong... BTW, i am half-asian. My Caucasian friend (a guy) told me that if you are Caucasian, you already have a head start in the dating game and if you are a handsome Caucasian, then it is pretty much game over. Too bad. So sad. I do not know if it is true or not. I am in no way racist, matter of fact, I have an affinity for Caucasian women, especially brunettes (Mediterranean type) I am not insecure or anything. I wanted to ask a sort of survey out there to see if it a common trend. I am not jealous because I believe that there is someone for everyone. Just something that my inquisitive mind wants to know.
lol this thread reminds me another one that asked a similar burning question about white guys and asian chicks. i think caucasian men probably appear bigger and stronger than asian men which appeals to a lot of women. i know caucasian are great sales people since they are better speakers or something. but it also depends on where you're raised. since i've lived in hawaii my whole life, i like my asian guys. when i was living in vegas, caucasian men don't appeal to me as much probably because they were so forward and shameless most of the time. many of them were good to look at but i just don't have that feeling i do with asian guys. if i were raised in the mainland, probably i will be attracted to caucasians since the asians there are REALLY asian lol.
I wouldn't say that MOST of us asian girls are attracted to caucasian men. I happen to be one that is, but none of my asian girl friends really like caucasian guys. For me, it just comes down to looks. I don't think I will ever be physically attracted to an asian man and that is why I have never dated one. It has nothing to do with being asian or not. If you can find me an asian guy that looks like Paul Walker, I'd date him.
On the flip, coming from an Asian dude, sure I like the snow-bunnies. Without getting too detailed here, I'll just say there is a reason why the "Girls Gone Wild" franchise is so successful. White girls are CRAZY! Arhm. Another thing that might have to do with it is brainwashing via television. I grew up watching MTV as a child and was always drawn to women with that bad-ass Rock N' Roll image. Again all white chicks. There's also the thing about them having brighter body parts than most but I won't go there for the sake of sounding like a total pervert. I am a rocker have been one most of my life. though growing up in a Japanese neighborhood, most of my friends in school were white dudes (Trust me when I tell you, next to Ed Kanoi, I will probably be one of the whitest sounding Filipinos you'll ever meet). Yes, they got ALL the hot Asian girls growing up! this from intermediate, through college and even until now! Though most girls don't like to admit it, yes, a lot of them are "size queens". I've lost the interest of Asian women in the past to white dudes and I've have wondered if it was because they didn't see me as a proprietor "to provide the goods". such is life. another thing that caucasian men have over asian dudes is their facial features are a lot tighter, sharper and chiseled. hey, some women might find that attractive. i know i like that look in women. i have dated mostly asian but i will never ever forget my first white girl. ever.
I'm going to dork out on you all as a biological anthropology nerd, but anthropolgists and the like have some answers to this question. I don't have citations to the studies here, and I'm going to write this from memory, so don't kill me if I give stats that are a little off. First, the phenomenon definitely exists. If I remember right from my Asian-American studies classes in college, most people are most likely to date and marry someone within their own race. This has to do with both cultural and individual attraction, but can be influenced by a slew of factors, yada yada. When you look at Asians, the numbers vary a little bit by ethnicity (Chinese, Korean, Japanese, etc), but Asian-American women are something like 30% likely to marry a man outside their race, while Asian-American men are only .... 5%? 7%? ...I forget the exact number but it was astonishingly small compared to the number of women who m
