I know that for every 10 AFWM couples, there are only 1 or 2 AMWF couples. I don't have exact stats but that's generally from what I've seen in my own life. So they do exist. And I've known quite a few personally. I've also seen Asian guys with Indian girls and Latina girls.
The thing is, it's never really done anything for me. I'm asking this because I keep seeing posts about examples of AMWF couples and this rah rah mentality. How does two strangers whom you don't know, you're not friends with either the white girl or the Asian guy, affect you?
There was this one time that an Asian guy I was friends with, he and I liked the same white girl. She ended up choosing him. So where did that get me? Whether it's a white guy or an Asian guy that out-competes you and gets the girl you're interested, she still didn't choose you and you're still left alone.
When the girl chooses another Asian guy over you, clearly she's not "infected by poisonous white media" or if she's Asian, a "self-hater." For whatever reasons that only she knows, she prefers him over you. What's gonna be your excuse now?
Just because the white girl here is clearly open to dating Asian guys doesn't mean she's gonna be willing to date you. I'm not trying to be harsh but it's just that I've been in this situation before in real life where the girl clearly was into Asian guys but still wouldn't date me. Maybe because due to some deficiency in either my looks/personality that clearly has nothing to do with the fact that I'm Asian. That other Asian guy still got the girl and I didn't and I got nothing out of it.
It feels good lowkey, I don't care for white girls but it says that us asian dudes can get pretty white girls too. It's a slap in the face to negative stereotypes regarding asian males.
I have similar thoughts. For me, it's not so much about the "white" part, it's more about the "non-AF" part. If I see an AM walking around with an attractive non-AF, it makes me want to mentally fistbump the dude. It's refreshing to see that he's able to land a good-looking partner, knowing that there are negative sexual stereotypes that throw us under the bus all the time. Western media rep by people like Ken Jeong, William Hung, Jimmy O'Yang also don't help.
It makes sense to me that you would want to give praise to people who achieve difficult things.
It makes me happy. It shows that although the odds are stacked against us, not all white girls are lowkey racist against AM’s. Hopefully one day, the ratio of WMAF and AMWF will become equal, if not in our favor.
I would urge every Asian male to pursue all women equally and stop putting white women on a pedestal. That in itself is perpetuating white supremacy
Yea just date/marry girls based on your actual interest and what drives your life first. General beauty helps, but there are some really annoying good looking ppl out there that are just not worth the hassle.
The amount of responses showing praise is a bit disturbing. I get that AMs are on the lower totem of dating but damn yall really need validation from looking at couples in public ?
People keep misinterpreting the response, many times with malicious intent. You can be more happy about AMWF than AMXF and see that as the largest sign of progress for AM as a whole while still being attracted to all women equally. The representation of AMWF at the society level is different from your opinions at the individual level.
AM who enjoy seeing AMWF don't think WF are better. It's just that WF being attracted to AM is the rawest symbolism for AM progress (i.e. less discrimination) in society.

As an Asian female who was adopted into a white family, it used to make me want to kill myself, because who would ever love an ugly, tan skinned Asian girl like me? Along with knowing I'm not even wanted by my Korean biological mother and father. I feel like there needs to be more of a dialogue on this issue, as many, many other adopted Asian girls feel similar, yet are afraid to talk about it and it's heartbreaking.

Seeing day-to-day Asian men having healthy dating life with the mainstream female population is a much better representation than any media representation. That's because these are real people, not some celebrity that doesn't interact with regular people.
