Born on 13 th October 1980, Ashanti Shequoiya Douglas is an American singer, record producer, songwriter, actress, and dancer. She was interested in singing and acting since her childhood. Ashanti kicked off the summer with a live Memorial Day Weekend performance at Harrah’s Resort in Atlantic City. She took the stage for a live performance where she thanked fans in the crowd for their support.

A Beverly Hills doctor has claimed Ashanti has had some work done even after she recently claimed that she was all natural.
A top Beverly Hills surgeon has accused R&B singer Ashanti of having plastic surgery.
The "Foolish" singer has publicly claimed that she has never had "fillers, GMO or lipo," as she posed in a gym selfie.
But according to Dr Daniel Barrett , the Grammy-award winning singer has had a "bit of work" done.
The doctor acknowledged that the Coach Carter actress looked beautiful in shots taken "twenty years apart." However he went on to accuse the 40-year-old of breast implants, a nose job, lip filler and a possible liposuction.
Dr Barrett's accusation caused a mix reaction online after his Tik Tok video went viral.
"If he’s right, celebs just need to stop portraying this image of being natural. Little girls look up to them whether we like it or not. And the lies they spew to these little girls about being natural is very damaging to their self image," one person wrote online.
"Who cares, she still looks good and doesn’t need this damn doc spilling unnecessary juice," a second added.
"Wow. If 'y’all ain’t heard it from me tho' was a person," a third chimed in.
Meanwhile, Ashanti recently trended on social media after Jennifer Lopez took to Instagram to share an old video clip of her recording her first album.
It's well known in the music industry that the Latina artist has had a habit of “borrowing” vocals and passing them off as her own. The Grammy-nominated artist has reportedly been dubbed by Ashanti, Brandy , and Christina Milian.
Ashanti wrote, sang the chorus, and added ad libs to many of Lopez's songs. The "Rain On Me" artist wrote and sung on JLo's record "Ain't It Funny " and made a cameo in the music video.
The former Murder Inc star also wrote the remix version of Lopez's song "I’m Real."
Ashanti’s demo vocals were kept for the final version, but she only received credit as a "background vocalist."
Meanwhile proud Puerto-Rican Jennifer Lopez faced strong criticizm for a line in the song that involved her using the "n-word."
Outraged, fans protested one of the singers NYC concerts with banners. Little did they know at the time that African-American Ashanti had actually sung the lyrics.
After Jennifer, 51, shared her post celebrating 22-years of her 1999 album"On The Six" some fans shadily congratulated Ashanti instead.
"Ashanti really did her thing congrats gurl," one comment read.
"Album was a bop, shoutout to Ashanti and background singers," a second added.
"You spelled Ashanti wrong," a third joked.
"You know damn well you didn't sing any of those songs Jennifer. This is the 22nd anniversary of ghost singers," a fourth added.
