Wish Ash's departure looming, fans are wondering if any of their Pokéshipping theories will come true.
It's been speculated previously that Ash's final adventure in the Pokémon anime series is drawing near. With that possibility in mind, fans are wondering if they will see any conclusion to their Pokéshipping theories, or if the perpetually 10-year-old and ever oblivious Pokémon trainer will remain obliviously single even into retirement.
There is a strong fanbase behind Ash and Misty Pokéshipping. While the two trainer's relationship can be written off as a typical close rivalry and, let's go with 'turbulent' friendship, there are several moments that could point to deeper affections.
Firstly, after Ash hijacks Misty's bike, she follows him "discreetly" along the next leg of his journey. When Ash finally turns around to confront her, she unconvincingly says she wants repayment for her stolen bike. However, dipping and dodging behind trees while blushing profusely isn't exactly the M.O. of someone who's trying to settle a score. She then quickly changes her reasoning to one of practicality, claiming the route he was taking happened to be the quickest one for herself as well. The excuse-making is a tell-tale sign of a budding romance in the eyes of Ash and Misty Pokéshippers.
It's a bit of a volatile and juvenile relationship, but a relationship none-the-less. Both trainers vehemently deny their affections towards each other when confronted about them. Ash is constantly picking on Misty in a 'boy pulling a girl's pigtails because he likes her' way, and Misty is always quick to respond to his juvenile antics with similarly immature acts of physical violence. These displays resemble schoolyard flirting attempts, which is fitting with the trainers' young age.
There's also the episode where the topic of kissing comes up, and Ash asks if kissing changes a person. Pokéshippers will likely take Misty's response of "finding out for ourselves" clear evidence of Misty's attraction. Our oblivious hero, however, does not and completely drops the ball on this early advance.
In a later episode, when Ash has a ghostly out of body experience, Misty is quite distraught, begging him to wake up and when he does, can be seen overcome with emotion and delight. Now, this could easily be how she would react to a near-death experience with any of her friends, but Misty's hysterics also lend support to Pokéshippers' arguments of something more.
A heartfelt send-off was warranted after being traveling companions for so long. Still, fans aboard the Ash and Misty Pokéship take their emotional goodbye and overall awkwardness in the farewell episode as a hint to the duo's underlying feelings for each other. Especially when Misty makes the statement "Well Ash Ketchum, now I know how you really feel about me."
When Misty returns in the Sun and Moon series, there's little to suggest anything between them more than the bond of being long-time travel buddies and friendly rivals.
Serena and Ash initially met in childhood when he bandages her knee with his handkerchief; a memento Serena brings back with her to Kalos and has kept ever since.
Most would say it is blatantly clear Serena likes Ash. If for nothing else, Serena's driving force to begin her journey in the series is to be with Ash. Among other evident displays of affection, Serena usually comes off a bit jealous towards female characters who're also vying for Ash's attention, and often blushes when chided about her feelings for Ash or when Ash does something that gives her butterflies. Serena even incorporates the blue ribbon Ash gives to her into her new outfit.
Ash shows Serena more affection and consideration than he has past travel companions throughout the series. He worries about her feelings and is more touchy-feely with Serena than he is with other companions, placing a hand on her shoulder and even holding her hand in one episode.
Serena's departure from the show is the real swaying factor. The original Japanese dialogue basically has Serena saying "You're the one I want, I'm going to go work on myself then I'll be back for you." While the proceeding last-minute goodbye kiss was not captured on screen, the creators did everything short thereof to drive the amorous moment atop the escalator home. Audiences aren't left wondering what happened when the odd boot shot frame cuts to the expressions of Ash, Pikachu, and their other companions.
So will one of these ladies finally crack through Ash's thick skull and earn his full-fledged affections? Or will the timeless ten-year-old continue obliviously missing every pass made at him? Honestly, despite his long-running bond with Misty and Serena's decisive advancements, it's just as likely this bone-headed hero will prove as resistant to mental aging as he has to physical age over the last 20 years.

It was a big day for ash ketchum, he was about to see serena after 2 long years after they last met. ash remember there first kiss under a full moon. meanwhile serena was preparing for ashes arivval, but soon she saw on the tv a tornado was heading torards where she lived, she called ash on the phone. " you need to get off that plane! a tornado might hit that plane" she said. problem was, ash was already on the plane, and his phone was dead. about a hour later ash arrived and, to his suprised, everyone was running into the airport in a frenzy. ash thought " what the hecks going on?". he charged his phone and got the vociemail from serena. he then texeted her and said he was at the airport. he soon saw serena in her car...but it was too late

it had been 2 years since serena death and ash was sad as hell, nothing could cheer him up. he was about to kill himself when he relised, at the funeral the was no body of serena in it. he soon relised she might not have been dead. he ran as fast as he could to the airport and hyjackked a plane and flew to the sight of the death. After the very long trip he finally made it to the sight of her death, a crater at the airport. He then reliesed she was dead since there was a body in there. He then had sex with the body and forced kids to suck his dong. he then spouted racist slurs at everyone at he airport and said 9/11 never happend. Ash was arrested and sent to prison for 45 years. The end

In between "Pokémon" journeys, Jeremy enjoys working as a pharmaceutical chemist and campus manager.
Normally, when fans ship a particular couple, they simply blend the names together. However, the Pokémon series disregards the norm and dubs the pairing of Ash and Serena (from the X and Y anime) amourshipping. Amour means love in French, and since the Kalos region that Ash and Serena explore is based on France, the name fits well enough.
To an aged fan like myself, no series will replace the original Indigo League adventures, but I was pleasantly surprised by Ash's X and Y Kalos journeys, especially since his relationship with Serena was explored further than any other Pokémon girl—even Misty. His battling was also at a peak, and the animation was nice, making it arguably the best recent season. But with hundreds of episodes chronicling Serena's crush and Ash's usual obliviousness, which instances reign supreme? These are the 10 best amourshipping moments in Pokémon !
While Serena normally gushes over Ash, when he questions why he first raced on a Rhyhorn (in a prior episode) rather than a Skiddo, as Serena's mom recommends for beginners, Serena curtly points out that was due to Ash's insistence upon racing.
But rather than get worked up or deny his stubbornness, Ash surprises Serena by responding with a compliment, saying thanks to her efforts, he successfully managed to ride the Rhyhorn despite being a novice. In the thumbnails above, you can see how this kind of response disarms Serena, changing her expression from defensive to surprised to smiling with a blush. Hey, even Ash isn't always clueless with women.
Pokémon trolled us big time with this one. Ill with a fever and essentially sleepwalking, Ash stumbles towards Serena, then collapses and grasps her (boy this sounds like a fanfic). Serena blushes and asks Ash what's wrong, as he states "I...I...Iron Tail."
Although it looked for a second that Ash was about to tell Serena he loved her, his subconscious mind had only been thinking about Pikachu's Iron Tail attack. Even Ash-Serena fans like myself can admit that was an amusing fake-out, and Serena's intense blushes and internal thoughts reveal just how jittery Ash's actions made her. Later in the same episode, Serena actually dresses in Ash's clothes and pretends to be him to prevent him from having to battle while sick, yet another sweet moment for the pair.
Ash nervously asks Serena to join the group
Episode: "Giving Chase at the Rhyhorn Race!"
Here's a subtle but significant amourshipping clue. After seeing Ash on TV and finally catching up to him to return his handkerchief, Serena's a bit unsure about what to do next. In a first for the Pokémon anime, Ash asks her to accompany his gang, stating that her support and advice have already proved useful. Bonnie quickly agrees, and Serena happily accepts, placing a hand over her heart.
It's also noteworthy that Ash seems nervous (uncharacteristic for this season) while asking Serena to join the group, indicated by his tone and the way he scratches his cheek.
Episode: "Tag Team Battle Inspiration!"
Here's briefer, but still adorable, Asherena (Serenash?) evidence. During a chat with their Kalos rivals, Ash stops Tierno from giving him advice about an upcoming Pokémon gym, wanting to experience the challenge for himself fairly. Hearing this, Shauna comments on Ash's optimism, then quietly asks Serena if that's why she likes him so much.
Serena tries to play it off by pretending Shauna's referring to how Serena likes Ash's mindset (platonically), but Shauna isn't buying it. Serena's hilarious facial expressions and desperation to hide any mention of her crush, especially when Ash asks what the girls are talking about, really sell this encounter.
Miette, Serena's rival in both Pokémon showcases and Ash's affection, scores an advantage when she beats Serena to the punch by asking Ash to attend an upcoming dance as her date. Serena's hilariously grumpy reactions confirm her jealousy, but at the actual event, Serena sees an opportunity to dance with Ash. With both dressed up in fancy outfits in an elegant atmosphere, the mood seems ripe for romance, and Ash extends a welcoming hand to Serena as she joyfully reaches back...
And then the dance ends. Darn it Pokémon, just give them their moment! We got trolled again, but even though the two were denied their dance, the build-up and jealousy still highlight Serena's affection. As icing on the cake, in this same episode, Ash and Serena tag team to successfully defeat James and Miette in a battle. Plus, in an off-screen segment of an earlier episode, Serena helped teach Ash to dance, so they still had their dance, albeit in a more informal setting.
Episode: "Master Class is in Session!"
Speaking of Miette, in this episode, Ash offers to cheer for both Serena and Miette during their upcoming performance. However, Miette points out that she might directly face Serena, asking who Ash would cheer for at that point.
Without batting an eye, Ash cheerfully exclaims he'd root for Serena, loyally supporting his longtime friend and causing even the confident Miette to wonder if Serena and Ash's bond had advanced since she last saw the couple.
Midway through the series, Serena resolves to become stronger and take her losses in stride. To complement her new determination, Serena cuts her hair to a shorter length and swaps outfits. When she presents her new attire to her friends, Bonnie
