Parliament should worry about the suffering of people
If they actually discussed this in Parliament they have obviously lost the plot. In Parliament they should worry about the suffering people; not about the loss of dividends to rich people.
Did it not occur to them to ask why is EPF investing overseas and creating wealth and employment for other nations? EPF invests RM356 billion overseas. What would be the boost to local economy and employment if EPF invests RM356 billion domestically?!
The govt scourge the world for FDIs asking foreigners to invest in Malaysia but it allows EPF to invest RM356 billion overseas?! What madness is this? The EPF has never been a source of income for retirees. Except for the very, very rich most EPF holders have zero balance after 5 years. So stop protecting the rich and think of the poor.
