Muslim umat lost the plot a long time ago
In the ongoing pain of our flesh and blood in Gaza we moan at words only, no action, coming from the Muslim world, not excluded is a heart wrenching penning by our own Dr Mahathir.
Truth is, the Muslim umat lost the plot a long time ago.
A Chosen People given the Manual by the Creator chose not to use the Manual but thinks highly of manuals from the education system of the people the Creator calls Musyrik!
The Creator is fair. He says those who wants the World He gives the World ; those who wants the Akhirat He gives the Akhirat.
Now those who wants the akhirat are looked upon as people who knows only religious knowledge when Allah swt meant for this people to be religious AND worldly educated people.
But these people which exists during the Golden Age of Islam does not exist today. These people were Masters of Quranic Arabic and Masters of Science.
Today we have Masters of Religious Studies Only and Masters of Worldly Knowledge Only. The twain does not meet.
The principal Cause and Downfall of the Muslims today is because they never questioned the Legacy Education System left by the Colonialists.
People who do not really understand what these Quranic commands mean ie Afala tatafakkarun, Afala tazakkarun, Afala tubsirun, Afala ya tadabbarun and Afala Ta'kilun.
Who do not realise his education is in the mould of the Christian Secular preference - religion is confined to Sunday only and must be divorced from life systems. No religion in normal education. Full religion education system to produce Priests!
Yes it was difficult enough to achieve independence. So maybe we needed to adopt the British system temporarily. But why the Permanence?!
Why was not after that, a Thought Revolution to go back to Quran and Sunnah to extend Madinah's Economy and Life Systems to Modern Times?
We had a Towering Academician respected even by the World who pointed out what happened to us in his Muslim world shattering book called "Islam and Secularism".
But he was considered unwise and ignored by the leadership who could make change.
Truly its not too late. Afala tatafakkarun, Afala tazakkarun, Afala tubsirun, Afala ya tadabbarun and Afala Ta'kilun.
Begin by turning our schools into a One Session School - Quran, Sunnah and Quranic Arabic in the morning session, and Science, Maths, English and Technology in the afternoon session. On a National Integrated Basis ; not on minimal, ad hoc, inefficient, insignificant, clumsy private basis.
Samiqna wa Atoqna.
Dear God we hear and we obey.
