Update Report from IMMR AGM 11/12 June 2023

As usual Day One was opened to all member NPOs and 17 nations were represented including Austria, Australia, NZ, Malaysia, South Korea, India, Italy, Netherlands, USA, Canada, Sweden, Finland, S Africa to name a few. The theme of the first day was to hear out our NPO members and common decision taken for IMMR to collectively strengthen each individual member NGOs so we will have an International Coalition of strong national NGOs. IMMR is now a properly registered NGO with proper Bank Account for donations. IMMR website can be reached at https://internationalmoneyreform.org/
The Second Day was a Delegates only Conference for basically IMMR housekeeping. It was not easy to arrange timings for all the start being 6am in Vancouver Canada and 1am Auckland NZ. Four Core Group members were elected from Italy, Malaysia, USA and Sweden. And probably one from Austria to be coopted. As mentioned the Focus the next session is to strengthen individual NGOs/NPOs before we embark on more international engagements. We are happy to report Monetary Reform National Referendum have been launched in 2 European countries only to be defeated very narrowly in both countries. International Fund Raising Campaigns will be conducted including IMMR T- shirts localised. The Constituency of Monetary Reformists are the masses suffering from the ills of the legacy monetary system ie unending inflation, youth and graduates unemployment, underemployment, underpaid, depressed starting salaries, and generally low wages and salaries, rocketing house prices, widening poverty gaps, etc. We want banks that serve the nation; not banks that serve themselves at the expense of the nation.
