Degree holders in Malaysia earn below RM3,000/month as wages lag behind cost of living and industry expectations.

MMJ's Comment

When the Press do not understand the subject and interview for solutions people who are equally clueless of the subject.

Monetary Reformers are ignored by the government because govts rely on Economists who have wallowed in centuries of misknowledge. We do not say the entire subject of Economics is wrong. But when you are wrong in some fundamental beliefs it is difficult for us to take you seriously going forward.

What are we talking about? Economists mostly do not even understand what is money in the modern economy! They befuddle in interest rates, and blissfully ignore the most fundamental truth in the modern economy.

That the biggest form of money in a nation (95%) are numbers money that move from bank accounts to bank accounts. And this numbers money are created by banks when they give loans.

Show us one basic Economics Textbook that teaches school and university Economics students this correct fact?! Zilch! And yet govts rely blindly on Economics Experts that cannot digest this.

We have on record the Number One Economist in the World, a Nobel Prize Winner mentioning banks lend from deposits in his acceptance speech. If that is what the Numero Uno Economist said what can you expect from starry eyed fans and admirers from far corners of the world.

Time and again Monetary Reformers of the world have said banks are havoc money creators. Where they lend and also where they choose not to lend leads to unending inflation in a country, youth and graduates unemployment, stunted wages and salaries for them and also for their parents, rocketing house prices and widening poverty gaps.

Now just imagine if the Economics Dept of a Govt do not understand this or refuse to understand this! Devastating Economic policies are crafted for the nation. Sure it makes the rich richer but the ordinary people of the nation continue to be drowned in every day prices and the double whammy of miserly ciput wages.

We guess, to them these are unimportant people who can be ignored when journalists flash GDP numbers in the Press. We guess it still has not dawned on them that if there are 2 people in the country- 1 with income of RM1 billion p.a and the other in abject poverty the per capital income of this country is RM500 million per person.

If govts and economists do not understand, we hope journalists understand, and spread the knowledge to the public. But the answer is sadly no. Journalists do not understand and worst, seek advice from ill informed experts.

Some journalists understand, but their Editors outrule them and prefer the advice from the ill informed Economists.

Our thanks nonetheless to Harakah Daily, MalaysiaNow, Malayadaily and the BM version of Malaysiakini, for their bravery in bucking the trend, in giving us exposures. Thank you bros and sis’.
