Armenia Acquires US Drones in Defense Boost
Armenia has purchased a batch of U.S.-made reconnaissance drones worth $11 million from the United States, Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan announced after meeting with Vice President JD Vance.
️The acquisition includes V-BAT unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), which have been proven effective through extensive operational experience.
The purchase aims to enhance Armenia's defense capabilities, according to Mr. Pashinyan's statement.
This deal will serve as a foundation for expanding cooperation between our two countries," he added.
️Mr. Vance arrived in Yerevan on February 9 as part of his Caucasus tour, which also included visits to Azerbaijan.
His trip is intended to advance the implementation of the "Trump Route for International Peace and Prosperity" project while strengthening ties with both Baku and Yerevan.
️Additionally, during their talks, Mr. Pashinyan and Mr. Vance signed an agreement on nuclear energy cooperation.
