Summary: This is a great machine if you are making 1-2 drinks per use. It is an ok machine if you are making more than that. It is a terrible machine if you are making multiple cups (3+) and you are pressed for time. The taste of your coffee and the quality of your espresso will depend a lot more on your grinder and beans vs what this machine can do. I have mostly used medium to light roasts and have gotten really good results in making Americanos and Lattes (because of the grinder that cost more than this machine). This machine more or less has the same boiler and pump that most machines have in this price range and the only difference is the outside plastic bits. So now that this is out of the way, let's discuss the specifics of this machine. Ideal scenario: You turn the machine on with the steamer switch off, wait 5-6 mins for the machine to get to about 95+ C (2-3 mins for 80C), you pull your shot. Then you turn on the steamer, wait another 2-3 mins steam your milk and combine for whatever drink you are making. (or skip this last step and add hot water for Americano). You can turn your steamer on earlier to try to get the heating to go faster but I found it hard to know when to turn it off. The not so ideal scenario (making multiple cups): You pretty much do the fist part as described above but then you repeat until you pulled all of your shots. Only then, turn on your steamer switch and steam your milk etc.. It uses the same boiler for your shots and your steamer so you will make your water too hot for your shot if you keep the steamer switch on while pulling a shot. Also note that every time you pull a shot the water temp goes down and you will need to wait 2-3 mins (if not 5-6) again if you want the same temp for all of your shots. Where this machine fails: Making multiple cups in a short period of time. It was not built for that. You want something more professional if this is your use case. It takes longer for the machine to re-heat back to the preferred temp than it will to clean the filter, grind enough beans and put the filter with beans back into the machine. Conclusion: For a home use case scenario where you at most will make about 2 cups at the same time, this works. If you are someone who wants the flexibility of making 3+ cups in a short period of time, you need to look for something else.

I have been using the same, generic espresso machine for close to ten years now. I have never, EVER had any issues with it. It always made a nice, frothy, clean espresso. The clean-up with a cinch. The remaining, packed grounds in the basket were always somewhat dry and came out as a nice, neat "puck" of used grounds. Well, it finally went kaput so I needed another. I was instantly enamored by the Ariete espresso maker! The design is really cool and retro. It makes for an excellent piece of decoration in the kitchen. I looked up the company Ariete and saw that they are an Italian company. I was quaking with excitement! You cannot imagine my disappointment when the box arrived and said, "Made in China." But hey, why not give it a chance? Thus far, I have made at least six espressos, and each time I do, there is a giant mess that results. Espresso shoots out everywhere, the coffee is weak, and residual grounds are all over the under part where the water comes out of. Also, the basket gets stuck underneath and, at times, you have to manually reach under and pull it out. You better make sure it cools off first, or you will burn your hand like I did. The remaining grounds in the basket - rather than forming a puck that you can easily bang out - then form this sludge that kind of swishes around and makes for a further mess. I have read the instructions about fifteen times. I read them top to bottom, left to right. Just for grins, I even attempted to read the instructions written in the other languages to see if maybe I missed something. Thank goodness for Google Translate! It convinced me I was not doing anything wrong. I have never been so dissatisfied with a product like this from Amazon. Come to think of it, I have always been happy and have never written a review until now. I am now stuck with an espresso machine that cannot make an espresso without making a colossal mess. At first I thought "well at least it looks pretty," but now I do not even want to look at it because I just wasted $173.

Very cheap light plastic , so far I’ve only been able to make two cappuccinos successfully , now the steamer seems to not work after less than a week , Too cheap to be true . Very cute but useless

Bella ma... (recensione aggiornata)

Bild). Wichtig ist der Mahlgrad des Kaffee. Da muss man etwas probieren.
