Ariana Richards returned to her Jurassic Park roots 29 years later.

Though she's not in the latest sequel, the actress, 42, attended the red carpet for the Los Angeles premiere of Jurassic World Dominion . Richards played Lex in the 1993 original alongside Joseph Mazzello , who played her little brother Tim.

Richards, who is now a painter, previously attended the L.A. premiere of Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom in June 2018.

Jurassic Park 's adult stars return for Dominion , including Laura Dern as Ellie Sattler, Sam Neill as Alan Grant, and Jeff Goldblum as Ian Malcolm. They join Jurassic World leads Chris Pratt and Bryce Dallas Howard.

The red carpet outing comes days after Richards mourned the death of her father in a June 2 Instagram post . "I'm going to miss you, Dad. So very, very much. You were second to none. Here is a photo of me, my sister Bethany, and my dad Gary Richards from February 5, 1994 at the fifteenth annual Youth in Film awards, Sportsman's Lodge, Studio City CA, where I received an award for 'Jurassic.' He used to accompany me to so many events, no matter how busy he was."

"I know you all deal with your own personal losses. I just wanted to share this with you," she added.

Richards turned 13 years old while making Jurassic Park , and she later had a cameo in the 1997 sequel The Lost World .

She reflected on Jurassic Park back in 2011 for Interview magazine , saying, "It's a film that touched so many people when it came out. ... It was one of those things where I just enjoyed the experience of creating the movie, and then everything that happened after, the whole landslide, was all a surprise. I was not prepared for the fact that huge numbers of people would recognize me on a daily basis."

"I mean, I couldn't eat lunch somewhere without people lining up to talk to me," she continued. "But now, it's still continuing, and I'm noticing that young people — even young children who didn't have a chance to watch it when it came out in the theaters, they're totally loving [it] and their parents are saying that they watch it all the time."

Richards added at the time that she'd be open to return to acting.

"People ask me, 'So did you step away from acting or decide to leave the business?' I let them know it's not about making a choice," she said. "Acting is always going to be something that's in my blood. It's more that my interest has been really taken by visual art and doing the oil paintings for people. ... If some really interesting role came along and found me, I'm sure I'd be thrilled to do it."

It had been a couple of years since the Jurrasic Park "incident" and Lex Murphy had finally begun to get over what had happened on that island. Once leaving the island Lex and her brother Tim had sworn to their grandfather that they would keep secret the location of the remaining DNA files so that no one else could steal them as previously planned by one of his employees. Lex had done her part so far with no real trouble that would force her to reveal it's location. In truth life just went on with much of the incident being swept under the rug. That was until now. Lex had been walking home from school following a long day. She had studied history and found herself to be quite the expert on prehistoric animals following her time in Jurrasic Park. It took a matter of seconds for the black van to appear and bundle her in before driving off. Once the van reached its destination Lex was tied to a chair with her feet tied to a stool in front of her. Her blindfold was then removed and she saw that facing her was a young woman, probably in her early 20s, she looked Lex up and down before Lex yelled. LEX: WHO ARE YOU? WHY THE HELL AM I HERE? WHAT DO YOU WANT PLEASE DON'T HURT ME! The girl smiled in a sly way. She patted the girls brown hiking shoes before saying. GIRL: Don't worry Lex. I'm not going to hurt you, I'm just here to extract some information from you. Information regarding the "Jurrasic Park Programme". I know you were there Lex and I know that you know where the remaining DNA files are kept. So talk or suffer the consequences! Lex came to a realisation of what the girl wanted. Regardless, she had kept the secret this long and wasn't breaking now. LEX: I have no idea what you're talking about. And even if I did I'd never tell you! GIRL: Fine if that's the way you wanna play it fair enough. I guess I'll have to persuade you some other way. GUARDS! Send in my "persuasive devices" Lex didnt like the sound of that. However she had said she wouldn't hurt her. She watched as a small tray of various tools were brought in. On the tray stood a hairbrush, electric toothbrush, feathers, paintbrush and baby oil. GIRL: Oh I love the look of confusion on you're face! What ever are these for? Here maybe this will give you an idea. The girl tugged on Lex's left boot removing it slowly. She did the same with her right. Then without breaking eye contact with her captive gently scribbled her nails across her socked feet. This quick tickle caused Lex to giggle loudly LEX: Nehhheehaaa what the hehhhl anther you doing? GIRL: Oh you have got ticklish feet. Good this should work well then. She then peeled off each of Lex's long thick socks revealing her pale feet. Lex flexed her soles and scrunched her toes after being exposed to the cool air. A look of fear began to appear on Lex's face. She did have ticklish feet. Always had and probably always would have. Tim would often take advantage of this pinning her legs down and tickling her mercilessly if she ever teased him. Lex hoped she'd be able to withstand the torture and not betray her grandfather. She put on a confident voice and said. LEX: You think tickling my feet will break me. Give it your best shot. I'll never talk. And so the girl began. She lightly scratched at her wrinkled soles. Lex's feet were an average size and while they were a little sweaty atter school they were still incredibly smooth and sensitive. In fact Lex always felt more ticklish after a hard school day. She remembered a time Tim had teased her after after her gym class and pounced on her and tickled her until she almost passed out. The girl was clearly an expert. Lex was already laughing and begging for her to stop. LEX: OH COHHHME OHHHN PLEAHHHSE STOHHHP IHHHM REAHHLY TICKISH HEHHHHAHHHHA IHHHHM NEHHHBVER GONNNA TEHHHHL YOUHHHH SIHHH YOU MIGHT AS WEHHHHL STOHHHP GIRL; Sorry toootse I can't stop. Not until I get what I need now are you gonna talk or do i have to start using my "persuasive devices" Lex had dreaded feeling those things on her feet. Fingers were bad enough but the instruments looked horrible. LEX: How did you find me? I can't talk anyway so use whatever you want you won't break me! GIRL: Is that right. You know you're brother said the same thing. "I'll never rat Lex out. Tickle all you want" Hey we've got a video. Wanna see? The girl turned the above TV on which showed a video recording of Tim bound in stocks having his feet mercilessly tickled by a hairbrush. TIM: OH PLEAHHHSE OH PLEAHHHSE STOHHHP IHHH CAHHNT TALK PLEAHHHSE NIHHH MOMHHE GO BACK TO THE FINGHHHHES JUHHHST NOHHHHT THE BRUSH! HAHHHHAHHHA OK OK MERCY MERCY IHHHL TALK IHHJL TALK JUHHHST STOPPPH The screen went blank. Lex looked both scared and angry. She knew what fate she was about to suffer. She was incredibly ticklish even more than Tim and he was going nuts. She didn't think she could handle it GIRL: So your brother rattled you out. He told us where you'd be today. Once he sang we let him go. So just talk and I won't have to use these (she wiggled 2 feathers in front of Lex's face) these were particularly effective inbetween Tim's toes I wonder if you're the same? LEX: GO TO HELL! With that she started to saw the feathers inbetween her toes one at a time. Lex went berserk bucking and screaming. Her feet were worse than Tim's the torture was unbearable. LEX: NAHHHHAHHHA STAHHHP PLEAHHHSE NOHHHT THERE NOHHHT THE TOES STOHHHP IHHHRS TORTURE PLEAHHHSE The girl then switched to the tooothbrush going up and down her soles. Exploring every inch of her feet LEX: OHHHH IHHHTS TOOOH MUCH NOHHHT THE FEEHHT I CAHHHTN TAKE IHHHT NOHHHT THE SOLES AHHHHHAHHH PLEAHHHSE I CANT TELLL YOU JUHHHST STOHHHP IHHHT PLEAHHHSE The girl kept it up for another 5 minutes before finally stopping. GIRL: So any anything you'd like to tell me? Or shall we get to my favourite part? Lex just sat there not speaking a word just recovering her breath. GIRL: I'll take that as a no. Now I think you're feet are just right for the taste test. This is gonna be great. The girl brought her face to Lex's feet. She stuck out her tongue and immediately got to licking her feet. Lex had never felt tickling like it. It drove Her crazy. . LEX: EHHHHHW WHAT AHHHE YOUHHH DOING THAHHHTS GROSSS THEYRE AHHHHL SWEAHHHTY STAHHHHP IHHHT TICKLES PLEAHHHHSE STOHHHP LICKING MY FEEEHT. The girl popped her toes in her mouth sucking on them as she attacked both soles with her nails. Lex went mad. LEX: BAHHHHAHHH AHHHA STAHHHHP MERCY STAHHHHP IHHHT TICKLES SOHHHH MUCH STOHHHHHP GIRL: THEN TALK! LEX: NEHHHVER HAHHHHAHHH The girl eventually stopped before picking up the hairbrush and oil. GIRL: Now this will make you talk. It did for your brother. It will for you She rubbed the oil all over Lex's feet before attacking both feet with the hairbrush. It was all too much for Lex. She was finally ready to cooperate. LEX: OHHHB MYY GOSSSHHH IHHHRS TOHHHH MUCH IK OK IHHHHL TALK JUGHHST STOHHHP NOHHT THE SOLES PLEAHHSE NOHHT THERE NOHHHT THERE MERCY MERCY STOHHHP! The girl finally stopped and Lex gave her the location. She was then taken out of the room. However, they did not let her go. She was lee to another room where she saw a sight she never wanted to see. Tim was there bound in stocks having his feet mercilessly tickled by 2 girls. One attacked the left the other the right. He was going insane. TIM: HAHBHHA IHHHH ALREADY TOHHHLD YOUHH EVERYTHING YOUHHH SAIHHHD YOU'D LEHHHT MEEEHH GOHHHB SYAHHHP IHHHDS TORTURE NO PLEASE NOT MY FEERHHHHT MEHHHHHHRCYYYYYYY Lex and Tim were both subject to tickling for hours until both passed out from laughing. She played the curious and computer savvy child Lex in the 1993 movie Jurassic Park, which was the first flick from the famed film franchise.
And on Monday evening Ariana Richards proved she is all grown up as she appeared on the carpet at the Jurassic World: Dominion premiere at the Chinese Theater in Hollywood that also saw Laura Dern, Chris Pratt and Jeff Goldblum attend.
The 42-year-old blonde beauty cut a sophisticated figure in a dark blue denim suit with white high heels.
It has been nine years since she quit Hollywood to pursue a career as a painter.
There she is! She was in the 1993 movie Jurassic Park. And on Monday evening Ariana Richards proved she is all grown up as she appeared on the carpet at the Jurassic World: Dominion premiere at the Chinese Theater in Hollywood
Now and then: She is now 42, left, but when Jurassic Park came out she was only 13
The premiere also saw Jurassic fans Heidi Klum, Christina Milian and Lindsey Vonn attend.
Ariana played Lex Murphy in the 1993 hit film from director Steven Spielberg.
The film was about a rich old man named Hammond (Richard Attenborough) who opens a theme park with real dinosaurs he secretly bred in South America.
Having a blast: The star, who works as a painter now after giving up acting in 2013, had fun at the splashy premiere
A good time: The former actress pretended to be scared while opening her mouth wide
The night before the premiere: On Sunday she stopped by the theater to take it all in
But when a team comes to see the park first hand all hell breaks loose as the dinos break free of their cages and try to gobble up humans.
Lex was the grandchild of John Hammond who is so savvy with a computer that she knows how to run the park's controls, thus helping the group survive.
Her co-stars in the hit film were Attenborough, Laura Dern, Sam Neill, Jeff Goldblum and Joseph Mazzello.
Before Jurassic Park she had starred on several TV shows like Golden Girls, My Sister Sam, Island Son, Walter & Emily and Capitol Critters.
