Are You Willing to Trust? - Teachings from This Moment Is Your Miracle By: David Hoffmeister

Somebody once wrote me, asking, “There are certainly a large amount of teachers and students of A Course in Miracles available, but there should be something which you've hooked into, or caught onto? A thing that triggered a transformation or even a major healing. So, the thing that was it.

“Trust,” I said.

Consider your daily life because it is apparently nowadays when it comes to the story. Just how do we answer the question; “Who do I trust? Where do I believe my safety lies? How will I be sustained? Who's my source?” So once we speak about the final stage to the awakening being pure trust, it's simply about disengaging and withdrawing our faith and rely upon all of these made-up concepts, beliefs and ideas in the world. It's a lot like creating a big house of cards, stacking using one card after the other. A good wind comes along and poof, it's only blown over. It can't even stand only a little gust of wind. It's so frail. It's so temporary. It's so transitory; It had been this sense of placing rely upon the Spirit and withdrawing rely upon anything else; those issues that were identified and learned as worldly accomplishments. Why should we rely upon those? Have they ever brought us lasting peace and happiness? Are they really trustworthy? It surely comes down to the essence of who is my buddy? Is it Spirit or matter? Is it Spirit or form? Furthermore how many of us have tried trusting people? Has anybody tried this one?So you are asking the question, “When someone dies or is apparently dying of starvation, what does that say about their mind?” Where all of this is heading is to the awareness that everything is mental.a course in miracles

What this awakening will show you is that everything is mental and that everything is just a hallucination. This really is a full world of ideas and what we call manifest reality, is not reality at all. There's no distinction between thought and form. Jesus has to build his whole workbook in A Course In Miracles on making the bond between thought and form. His lessons start with, “Nothing I see means anything,” (W-1) and, “I have given everything I see all this is it's for me.” (W-2) Then, He works his way up to number 4, “These thoughts don't mean anything&rdquo ;.Now, He's speaking about thoughts. First He's speaking about perception, then about our thoughts, then He comes home with lessons 5,6,7,8,9 ... perception, perception, perception, perception, perception ... and then number 10, “My thoughts don't mean anything.” You will see he's trying to melt everything together and show the final veil or stage of awakening, which is trust.

The Holy Spirit uses time and energy to teach us there is no such thing as time, to take us back to that timeless moment that is the gateway to eternity. He uses symbols to teach us that they're all illusions and that they're all equally meaningless. That's exactly the way of operation of Holy Spirit. The Spirit has to work well with your brain to loosen the attachments from the investment in all sorts of things. What kind of things do you invest in, in this world.
