Are You Willing to Trust? - Teachings from This Moment Is Your Miracle
Somebody once wrote me, asking, “There are certainly a large amount of teachers and students of A Course in Miracles out there, but there must be a thing that you've hooked into, or caught onto? Something which triggered a transformation or even a major healing. So, what was it?”
“Trust,” I said.
Think about your lifetime as it appears to be in this world with regards to the story. Just how do we answer the question; “Who do I trust? Where do I think my safety lies? How will I be sustained? Who's my source?” So whenever we speak about the last stage of the awakening being pure trust, it's simply about disengaging and withdrawing our faith and trust in many of these made-up concepts, beliefs, and ideas in the world. It's similar to making a big house of cards, stacking using one card after the other. Then a good wind comes along and poof, it's only blown over. It can't even stand only a little gust of wind. It's so frail. a course in miracles store It's so temporary. It's so transitory; It had been this sense of placing trust in the Spirit and withdrawing trust in the rest; those things that were identified and learned as worldly accomplishments. Why should we trust in those? Have they ever brought us lasting peace and happiness? Are they really trustworthy? It surely comes right down to the essence of who is my cousin? Is it Spirit or matter? Is it Spirit or form? Furthermore how most of us have tried trusting people? Has anybody tried that certain?So you're asking the question, “When someone dies or appears to be dying of starvation, what does that say about their mind?” Where all of this is heading is always to the awareness that everything is mental. What this awakening will reveal is that everything is mental and that everything is really a hallucination.
That is a world of ideas and what we call manifest reality, isn't reality at all. There's no distinction between thought and form. Jesus has to build his whole workbook in A Course In Miracles on making the connection between thought and form. His lessons begin with, “Nothing I see means anything,” (W-1) and, “I've given everything I see all this is it's for me.” (W-2) Then, He works his way around number four, “These thoughts do not mean anything&rdquo ;.Now, He's referring to thoughts. First He's referring to perception, then about our thoughts, then He returns with lessons 5,6,7,8,9 ... perception, perception, perception, perception, perception ... and then number 10, “My thoughts do not mean anything.” You will see he's wanting to melt everything together and show the last veil or stage of awakening, which can be trust.
The Holy Spirit uses time for you to teach us there is no such thing as time, to take us back compared to that timeless moment that's the gateway to eternity. He uses symbols to show us that they're all illusions and that they're all equally meaningless. That's exactly the way of operation of Holy Spirit. The Spirit has to work with your brain to loosen the attachments from the investment in all kinds of things. What kind of things can you spend money on, in this world?
