Baby Jogger City Select Stroller & City Select Car Seat
The City Select 2 Stroller Eco Collection is a versatile stroller that converts from a single stroller to a double stroller with the addition of an additional seat or glider board (sold separately). It can also be set up to become a triple travel system by adding an infant bench seat or car seat. In all, it offers 24 configurations and is a top-rated stroller overall. This model uses Baby Jogger's soft, breathable TENCEL fabrics, which aid in thermal regulation and are sustainable sources. It features a premium leatherette handlebar and bumper bar and comes with an abdominal bar. It is 20% smaller and lighter than the leading single-to-double stroller available, the UPPAbaby V2.
It comes with a moderate-sized sunshade and a handy magnetic peek-a-boo window that is easy to open and close. The telescoping bar can be one of the most easily adjustable and works for parents of all heights. The seats recline and there's a footwell adjuster button to assist you in positioning your child in the most comfortable position. The storage bin is large, but we wish it had a latch that is more secure. The bin is easy to open, but the zippers can be frustrating because they have to be removed and then refastened after each use.
Like its counterparts like its siblings, the City Select has single-action brakes that are easy to set and release using the pulling of a lever located on the side of the frame lower than the handlebar. It is suitable for sandals and barefoot and an improvement over the clunky brake levers other competitors use.
This is the only stroller we've reviewed in our review that accepts two infant car seats, making it a great option for twins or parents with just one child and a new baby due. It is compatible with all major brands infant car seats using an adapter. We tested it with Britax/BOB Chicco KeyFit 30 and Graco Click Connect models as well as the Cybex Aton, Aton Q and Nuna Pipa.
The City Select is not compatible with the UPPAbaby Vista V2. It is a great option for families with a car seat and need an appropriate stroller, but you may prefer a convertible stroller that can accommodate an additional infant car seat in this case.
