But recently, the greedy landowner Lord Harwick had ordered the clearing of the eastern woods.

Time was running out. The wind howled warnings, and the trees groaned in protest. Arabella knew she had to act. Gathering her courage, she confronted Lord Harwick, but he laughed at her tales of angry spirits.

That night, the forest came alive. Shadows shifted where no light touched, and the ground trembled. Arabella rushed to the Whispering Oak, where the spirits’ voices were now a chorus of fury.

With no other choice, Arabella climbed the oak, reaching into a hollow where an ancient talisman lay—a silver leaf, the symbol of the pact. Holding it high, she called out, 'I speak for Willowbrook! The pact will be honored!'

A great wind surged, and then—silence.

The next morning, Lord Harwick’s men found their axes shattered, their tools twisted. The message was clear. The landowner, pale with fear, called off the clearing.
