App Name: Appsco.pe
Short Description: Directory of all Progressive web apps

Appscope is a directory for progressive web apps (PWA). Here you will find hundreds of web-based applications that are compatible with all devices.

Many PWAs will automatically prompt an install button when you visit the app in the web browser. If they don't, just tap on the 3 dots button next to the address field and select "Add to Home screen".

Basic idea of PWA :
PWA stands for Progressive Web App. Basically PWA is a website that is made to look and feel like a native mobile app. So there's no need to download the app from the Google Play Store or iOS App Store. PWA works on desktop as well. You can add them on your home screen and just like any other normal app they will appear on your app drawer.

Reasons to go with PWA:

PWA are faster, responsive, lightweight than their original apps on play store. They take very little space and hence are suitable for entry-level devices with minimum specifications and memory. Some PWA also works offline thus eliminating the need for a network. Also since they're made to work with minimum requirements, they do very little caching ie. storing data which app thinks you might need later.

Our Experience with PWA's :

We have been using progressive web apps from the last few days to see if they can replace some apps on our phone and it turns out they are quite impressive and work flawlessly without losing significant functionality. Taking example of Instagram PWA we tried out in our review of PWA's. It provided all basic functionality of Instagram app like direct message, feed, discover, searching friends and stories. It also had a striking resemblance to the original app. It can serve as a go-to app for people who like using Instagram without actually wasting storage on the original app. Also, it required fewer permissions than the original app. Not just that you also get notifications just like normal apps on PWA. so you aren't missing out on anything.

P.S. They can be backed up like normal apps. Good for those flasholics who change rom on a daily basis.

Final words:

We hope you enjoy discovering PWA's and exploring what they can do.
