Ai Chat Co ("we", "us", or "our") respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how AICommunication handles information when you use the application.
1. Overview
AICommunication provides AI-powered text conversations and voice conversations.
The app does not provide person-to-person messaging, social networking, or phone-number-based calling.
No account, registration, phone number, or email address is required to use the app.
We do not operate a server that stores your chat history or voice conversation history.
2. Information Stored on Your Device
The app stores certain information locally on your device in order to provide its features.
This may include:
• Your optional display name and profile image
• Conversation history
• AI message responses
• Voice conversation transcripts
• Call history and duration
• Favorite conversations
• App appearance and language preferences
• Voice preferences
• Local usage settings
This information remains stored locally on your device unless a feature described below requires limited information to be transmitted to a third-party service.
You can delete conversation and call history from within the app. Removing the app from your device also removes locally stored app data, subject to normal iOS system behavior and backups.
3. AI Text Conversations
When you send a message to an AI contact, the text required to generate the requested response is transmitted to OpenAI through the OpenAI API.
Depending on the conversation, this may include:
• The message you have just entered
• A limited amount of recent conversation text required to maintain conversational context
• Instructions necessary for the selected AI contact to provide an appropriate response
This information is used only to provide the AI response requested by you.
We do not upload or store your chat conversations on our own servers.
OpenAI is a third-party AI service provider and processes information according to its own applicable privacy, security, and data-retention practices.
OpenAI states that content submitted through its API is not used to train its models by default unless the API customer explicitly opts in to data sharing.
Standard OpenAI API data may be retained for a limited period for safety and abuse-monitoring purposes in accordance with OpenAI's applicable data policies.
4. AI Voice Conversations
The app allows you to speak with AI contacts using your microphone.
Microphone access is used only when you actively start a voice conversation or record a voice message.
Speech recognition is used to convert your spoken words into text.
Depending on the device, operating system, language, and Apple system capabilities, speech recognition may be processed on your device or through Apple's speech recognition services.
After speech has been converted into text, the recognized text needed to generate an AI response is transmitted to OpenAI through the OpenAI API.
The app does not intentionally send raw microphone audio to OpenAI for AI response generation.
The AI response is returned as text and may be spoken aloud using Apple's text-to-speech capabilities.
5. Voice Messages
If you create a voice message, the audio recording may be stored locally on your device so that you can play it again within the app.
The recognized text from a voice message may be sent to OpenAI when necessary to continue an AI conversation.
We do not upload voice-message audio to our own servers.
6. Third-Party AI Processing
The app uses OpenAI as a third-party AI service provider.
Information sent to OpenAI may include:
• Text entered into an AI conversation
• Recent conversation text required for context
• Text produced from speech recognition
Purpose:
The information is transmitted only as necessary to generate AI responses requested by the user.
We do not sell this information.
We do not use AI conversation content for advertising or tracking.
We do not operate an independent server that stores copies of users' AI conversations.
OpenAI's processing and retention of information is governed by OpenAI's applicable terms, privacy policies, and API data policies.
7. Microphone and Speech Recognition Permissions
The app may request:
Microphone Permission
Used to enable voice conversations and voice messages.
Speech Recognition Permission
Used to convert spoken words into text for AI conversations.
These permissions are requested only when relevant features are used.
If you deny a permission, the related voice feature may not function, but other available parts of the app can continue to be used.
Permissions can be changed at any time through iOS Settings.
8. Photos and Profile Images
If you choose a profile image from your photo library, the selected image is used to create your local app profile.
The selected profile image is stored locally by the app.
We do not upload your profile image to our own servers or to OpenAI for AI conversation processing.
The app does not require access to your entire photo library to provide its core AI communication functionality.
9. Information We Do Not Request
The app does not require you to provide:
• A phone number
• An email address
• An online account
• A password
• Your contacts
• Your precise location
• Health information
• Payment information
The current version does not provide advertising, social networking, person-to-person messaging, or person-to-person voice calling.
10. Analytics, Advertising and Tracking
The current version does not use user information for advertising or cross-app tracking.
We do not sell personal information.
If our practices materially change in a future version, this Privacy Policy will be updated accordingly.
11. Remote Application Configuration
The app may periodically retrieve non-user-specific technical configuration required for operation of its AI features.
Chat content, voice conversation transcripts, profile information, and conversation history are not included in these configuration requests.
12. Data Retention
Local Data
Conversation history, call history, transcripts, settings, and other locally stored app information remain on your device until you delete the applicable information or remove the app.
AI Processing
Information transmitted to OpenAI is subject to OpenAI's applicable API data-retention policies.
OpenAI currently states that API inputs and outputs are not used for model training by default and that standard API data may be retained for a limited period, which may be up to 30 days, unless different eligible data-retention controls apply.
We do not maintain a separate server-side copy of your conversation history.
13. Deleting Your Information
You can remove locally stored conversation and call information using the data-management features available within the app.
You can also remove locally stored application data by deleting the app from your device.
Because the app does not require an online account, there is no application account that needs to be separately deleted.
Information that has already been transmitted to a third-party service is handled according to that service provider's applicable retention and deletion practices.
14. Data Security
We use reasonable technical measures appropriate to the nature of the application to reduce unauthorized access to information handled by the app.
Internet transmissions to third-party services use secure network connections provided by standard HTTPS/TLS technologies.
However, no electronic transmission or storage method can be guaranteed to be completely secure.
15. Children's Privacy
The app is not specifically designed as a children's service.
Users should avoid submitting unnecessary personal or sensitive information in AI conversations.
Parents or guardians should supervise children's use where required by applicable law.
We do not knowingly request children to create an account, provide a phone number, or provide an email address in order to use the app.
16. International Processing
OpenAI, Apple, and other technical service providers involved in providing app functionality may process information in countries or regions different from your own.
Their handling of information is governed by their respective privacy practices and applicable laws.
17. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy when application features, third-party services, legal requirements, or privacy practices change.
When material changes are made, the Effective Date at the top of this Privacy Policy will be updated.
The version of the policy published at this location is the current version.
