Apple intends in the second half of the year to release an inexpensive next-generation iMac with a 23-inch screen.
The younger iMac models haven't really been updated for a long time. In particular, seventh-generation Intel Core processors and conventional HDDs are still used there. What will be the new 23-inch models is not yet clear.
