Yes, we had lunch with a friend of ours who uses a mechanized wheel chair and oxygen tank, and he had no problem with adjacent parking lot next door to restaurant, or getting into restaurant or to table, all with no steps... More

One of the best Rueben’s I’ve had! Service was perfect! Save room for the Apple pie, you will be glad you did! It was delicious!
You usually don’t expect non-fine dining restaurants to perfect the seasoning / cook of a fish but Apple Granny gave us a huge surprise. You can tell it was fresh as the fish flaked off so easily that it was almost difficult to pick up... since it was slipping all over the plate. To cap it off, the filet was huge.

Wings were expensive, however. $16 for 10 wings. I was hoping each piece was going to consist of the entire wing (drumette, flat and tip) but it wasn’t. I will say they were good, though; crispy and well seasoned and sauced. More
My wife and I had a Bermuda sandwich, She said it was dee-lis-ious. I had fried scallops. The market price was about $16.00 and there were plenty on the plate. I have had a run of bad luck with scallops lately and so many of... them have no flavor, but since I was on the East Coast, I thought I would give it a chance. I was not disappointed.They were good. This place is very overrated. The service was slow and food was bland and over priced. We ordered the beer battered fish and it was just okay. I ordered sweet potato fries that didn’t come out until 20 minutes after our food had been served.... My friend said she preferred Long John Silvers over it. My friends also ordered an appetizer that literally had 5 pieces of shrimp and it was $17.00. The best thing served was my child’s grilled cheese sandwich. More
Various family members of the restaurant ownership were very present and helpful. As usual in our many visits over the years, the quality was outstanding and the prices were reasonable. We keep on coming back!
This was our go to restaurant prior to the pandemic. Visited in April once the border was easier to cross Prices have increased by 30% and the new pricing is no longer worth the trip. Always enjoyed a side of their wings. Now, 10 wings... are $13, so with exchange and tip, $20 Cdn is a lot for a rrestaurant that can only be considered mid-range and not fine dining, Two small cocktails at the bar were $21 which again with tip was about $32 Cdn. House wine by the glass is now rationed in a smaller glass for 30% more than pre pandemic and when we asked for bread, we were told that it is no longer available. It appears that the owners are cutting corners to recover lost profits from tougher times but unfortunately may lose their regulars as a result. Food is still excellent and I wish the owners well. We enjoyed lunch here while visiting the lovely town of Lewiston. We were seated promptly, and our server, Patty, was pleasant and attentive. We enjoyed a Turkey melt with french fries and the Baked Haddock with coleslaw and french fries. Everything was fresh, hot and... delicious! More
Disappointed. Looked at online menu and ordered 2 breaded fish which included potato and salad choices. Was charged extra for each side choice which was included. Fish order was the same but each was cooked differently, one breaded baked, one breadedandfried. One should have French... fries, one with potato. Both with potato. Don't mind supporting restaurants and workers but not happy with paying extra money and not getting what was ordered. More
Really good food. The salad was fresh and well made and dressed well. Very enjoyable. The staff is very attentive and kind.
We loved our dinner! My wife had a large salad with chicken and she loved it. I had the broiled salmon with mashed potatoes and a garden salad, and it was delicious. The salmon was prepared perfectly. Our waitress was as friendly as could be... and offered great suggestions. Highly recommend! More
We are regular customers. Great fish fry. Yesterday we went in and were told by the host Alisa that there was a 10 + min wait. It was 3pm. We said OK we will wait at bar . We’re told that we can’t wait there... and have to order a meal if we sit there. In mean time one of the bar tables became free but we were told it was reserved. We ask where should we wait and were told to wait out in vestibule. Eventually in a few minutes we were seated after others came in. In the meantime people came in sat at the bar and did not order food. Also we were there for an hour and the “reserved” table was still empty. We also noticed that many people were being seated right after we were seated and that there were obviously several open tables when we arrived. I do not know why this host was so rude or immature but we did notice she was out of sight by the time we got our meal. I think mike and his partner run a great restaurant but they need to put this kid in the kitchen. More
Visited today (August 26, 2020). Clean, respectful of patrons safety, awesome food. Our waitress was the best waitress ever!! I wish I could remember her name but she bent over backwards to make our visit absolutely wonderful! She treated my two sisters and me like... we were royalty! I would definitely go there again and again and again!! More
camping nearby, rainy night 5/29/2020, thought we’d give Apple Granny some Covid-19 curbside business.
1) fish fry was flaky but tasteless. coleslaw tasted sour.
the website write up states this Restaurant was voted #1 in WNY for Fish Fry. I can’t imagine that based on... tonight’s meal. Bill Gray’s is so much better.
2) Shrimp and Scallop Scampi for $16.95 was pathetically disappointing. 4 shrimp, 2 scallops in a styrofoam cup, with dumped, tasteless vegetables and an old, discolored,wimpy looking ‘salad’.
3) notice the 40 cent “Item to Go” charge. who charges for styrofoam takeout containers?!
We will not frequent this Restaurant again. More
I ordered shrimp scampi for $13.95 on menu and when they charged me $18.31 and I looked at the paltry meal, it was just a bunch of noodles with 6 shrimp and a small side salad leaking all over a bag. I got my money... back.The manager was very rude to me saying "you got to be kidding me". Apple Granny has several menus out there that say on the menu the shrimp scampi is $13.95. The manager said I was on the wrong web site. Why don't they take the other sites down as they are misleading. Spending $20. With tip was just a big rip off

I have been frequenting this once fine place for the past 30 years, but the last 2 visits were questionable since different management has taken over...so on a whim I decided to give it another shot....big mistake. After being quickly seated....which is a shock at... supper hour..I noticed it was decidedly cool with a space heater running-no heat?? Hmmm...ok.So after deciding from the vast menu, the waitress took our order- 2 medium well steaks and salads. After a reasonable wait, the food came...both salads had a pre-packaged dressing which was like paste....ok....then the Steaks came- both were beyond well done...almost burnt! We questioned the waitress and with a dumbfounded stare she said that's what they look like after coming off the grill.....no! Really??? Then I said we ordered Medium Well- she was still dumb founded. I kept mine but my mom sent hers back...after another wait the second replacement steak was barely Medium and looked and tasted like it was done in a microwave and thrown on the grill for a minute or so....frustrated we finished our less than mediocre meal. Not to mention.....my fries had a mouldy taste and gravy tasted like something out of a year old can. After a trip to the restroom I noticed worn dirty carpeting....no heat in the smelly- less than clean washroom, and dirty tile floors to the restrooms and kitchen area. Time to leave....it took another 15min to get our check and another 10 min to pay!

Well- this is another once favorite eating establishment off my list unfortunately. More

Granny Smith is the quintessential tart
green apple . It is famous for its unique, bright green skin but also
enjoyed for the perfect balance of taste between tart and sweet. Granny Smith
apple trees are great for the home orchard because they provide these delicious
fruits in abundance. The apples can be enjoyed in any culinary use.
The original Granny Smith was discovered by Australian Maria
Ann Smith. The tree grew on her property in a spot where she tossed crabapples .
One little seedling grew into an apple
tree with beautiful green fruits. Today, no one is certain of its
parentage, but apple experts suggest the Granny Smith resulted from a cross
between a Rome Beauty and a French crabapple.
Granny Smith is now among the most popular of apple varieties . The apples are truly versatile. Enjoy them fresh and store for up to six months. You can also use Granny Smith in cider, pies, and other baked goods, and fresh or cooked in savory dishes. It pairs well as a simple snack with cheese or peanut butter.
When growing Granny smith trees, it’s best to be somewhere in zones 5 through 9, but this variety will tolerate heat better than many others. You’ll need another apple tree as a pollinator as well. Some good options include Red Delicious , Rome Beauty , and Golden Delicious as well as many crabapple varieties .
Plant a new tree in a sunny spot with soil that drains well.
Work organic matter into the soil first if it needs more nutrients. Make sure the
graft line is a couple of inches (5 cm.) above the soil line when planted.
Granny Smith apple care requires regular watering initially,
until the tree is established, as well as pruning. Every year in late winter or
early spring give the tree a good trim to shape it and allow air flow between
branches. Remove suckers or any unwanted shoots at any time of the year.
Expect to harvest your Granny Smith apples in mid to late October.
