Appeal to Westerners

Appeal to Westerners

The war in Ukraine has been going on for more than 270 days. It's the most destructive war of the 21st century in Europe. The heroic Ukrainian people are resisting the aggression of the incommensurably stronger Russian Federation.

Today, my people are paying a high blood price for their freedom. But our struggle is not only Ukraine's war for independence. This is a war that did not come to the homes of ordinary Americans and Europeans, stumbling over tens of thousands of bodies of Ukrainian worthy men and women who died fighting the Russian invaders.

Russian propaganda is trying to present its aggression as a defense of its own interests. But it's not so. Fed up with the money of Western civilization for Russian oil and gas, the Putin regime raves about imperialism and the old colonies of Moscow.

His ambitions come from the depths of great-power Russian chauvinism, which remains unchanged, regardless of the ruling system in Russia. Tsar, Stalin, Brezhnev, Putin, the names change, but the spirit stays the same.

It is not Putin who imposes his will on the Russians, but the Russians have placed themselves at the mercy of a dictator, which reflects their inner desires, their collective will to plunder and conquer.

The statements of some politicians in America and Europe demanding to stop helping Ukraine in the fight against Russia, which we hear from the news, are shocking. While our best sons and daughters are dying for the ideals of freedom, the rule of law and democracy, while we restrain the Kremlin's territorial hunger with our lives, someone wants us to lose.

Someone wishes that the place of Kherson, Mariupol, Izyum and Donetsk instead was taken by Warsaw, Munich, Paris or San Francisco. Or maybe there is an opinion that by feeding Ukraine to the Kremlin it is possible to avoid the Third World War? After all, with Czechoslovakia it turned out so well to stop the Second World War.

We appreciate the billions of dollars of assistance that we have received. But the war with Russia requires more. Russian soldiers commit monstrous crimes: murders, torture, sexual violence and go unpunished. Their defeat is not yet predetermined due to the fact that we do not have enough weapons to defend ourselves.

The United States limits the use of transferred weapons and the Kremlin feels safe. Putin is training his army on Ukrainians, which he will inevitably send against NATO. By avoiding war today, you are only letting Moscow prepare for war and start it on its own terms.

And I wonder what made the greatest free peoples of the planet so cautious? Could it be greedy? How many tons of cheap Ukrainian grain does freedom and the right to life cost? Or do we measure in cheap sanctioned oil from Russia? For my people, who are fighting for the fundamental principles of Western society, it becomes an unpleasant discovery that freedom, justice and human rights cover up the usual dirty business.

It doesn't matter how you violate human rights, how many genocides you have staged, if you have a nuclear bomb and the resources that big Western capitalists need, then you are beyond justice. This is what all the nations of the world see. By refusing to fully oppose Russia with all the innumerable forces of Western civilization, the NATO countries are ushering in an era where every dictator, every usurper will seek to acquire nuclear weapons in order not to be afraid to commit crimes against humanity.

A remarkable outcome of the centenary triumph of the democratic West. Dictators with nuclear weapons who don't look back at anyone. Gas chambers, mass shootings, slavery, where is the line where the tyrants will stop, knowing that no democracy will intervene for the weaker side?

And if the citizens of the West think that raising prices in stores is too high a price for freedom, then I am sure that free food in the concentration camps in the future, which they did not oppose today, will be just right for them.
