Apex Legends Patch Notes Update

The hashtag #SaveApexRanked is being used by Apex Legends content makers and pros to express their discontent with Respawn's stance against hacking in the game. The initiative sprang up shortly after the studio announced it was looking into "various ways" to combat cheats.

Chris "sweetdreams" Sexton of NRG began the campaign with a TwitLonger post titled "Empty Promises and False Hope," in which the streamer detailed his displeasure with apex patch notes. Other well-known athletes and content providers have followed suit.

“Words have been said, minds have been eased, but the problem remains,” claimed streamer Nokokopuffs, pleading for Respawn to preserve the competitive mode before it's too late. Kha "iPN-k0u" Nguyen of the Alliance stated that he had no desire to go for ranked because "it's simply neither enjoyable nor productive always running into [DDoSers] and cheats." Several more creators also contributed to the cause.

Sweetdreams had several "very genuine issues," according to Respawn head of communications Ryan Rigney. He stated, “We have to crack down on cheating and achieve genuine progress.” “Actions, not just words, are required.”

The #SaveApexRanked movement arose immediately after Respawn announced new methods to "clamp down" on cheating in Apex Legends. Additional staff will be hired to "concentrate on manual bans," more tools will be developed to "identify and remove cheaters from games" more rapidly, and new devices will be developed to "automatically detect and halt DDOS assaults."

The hashtag's emergence is a sign of Apex's major and complicated cheating problem. Although Respawn has proposed a number of solutions to the problem, the effects may not be immediate or even enough.

Sweetdreams said, "Let this tweet act as a method to keep them responsible for what they say is going to happen."

Wraith's Dimensional Drift was used by one Apex player to totally outplay their opponent, as seen in a video posted earlier today. The player expertly bounced back and forth between both sides of a portal until their target was gone.

The player came upon an enemy Valkyrie hidden in a building while travelling on the fringes of a World's Edge ring. After suffering a lot of damage, the Wraith began to shelter himself while hiding behind the outside door. However, with Valk kicking down the door from the other side, the player had to think quickly.

To exit the opposite end of Dimensional Drift, the player put a teleporter at the door and looped around the building's rear door, utilizing Into the Void to avoid suffering any ring damage. The Wraith player began their attack by hurling grenades through the front door for chip damage after healing up a little more. The player then used the teleporter to get to the rear entrance and began shooting the Valk from behind, breaking their shields.

Wraith then re-entered the teleporter for one more time, hoping to catch their opponent off surprise and kill them out.
