I've kept planted tanks for many years now, specifically with a focus on all of the different Anubias varieties. I had always wanted to keep Anubias Petite, but struggled to find them in local fish shops. Simply put, this plant arrived in spectacular health and immediately adjusted to my aquarium parameters. It started sending out new leaves within 3 days of receiving the order. The Anubias Petite is a lush, small and dark green specimen. In fact, I was so happy with this order that I purchased a second plant to put in my Nano shrimp tank. Just remember to provide this plant with plenty of macro/micro nutrients and make sure it's placed in a shady/filtered area in the tank. Very happy!

Great quality. I have purchased the same plant from multiple stores and never have I found one that looked this good and it’s about the cheapest I’ve seen it, either online or in person. I paid $13.99. Great easy addition for any aquarium.

Beautiful Anubis’s from Marcus Fish Tanks

By Brandon on October 4, 2022

At first I was worried because I would have to receive a couple of days after delivery this plant, but the customer service was great and also after a week of being shipped it’s in good condition! The packaging was nice and is came in a closed bag so when opening it still had moisture. The roots came wrapped with some felt that retained water. Some leaves became broken after unpacking but nevertheless the bigger leaves were sturdy and still looked healthy. No parts of the plants were rotten or soft.

I bought it back in 2019 and it's still alive and growing. I'm amazed at this because normally all plants I try to take care of just die.

TL;DR - Beautiful, healthy, green plant. Fast shipping. Decent shipping packaging. I am quite happy with this purchase. First off, shipping speed. Wow. I ordered these two days prior to actually receiving it. It was amazing seeing it get here a whole week and a half before the estimated delivery date. The plant itself is a 5 star plant. I received a very healthy small plant. I counted the leaves and easily exceeded the approximate 25-35 leaf count that is advertized. I think my plant may exceed 50 leaves and it's great. I was able to split the plant in hopes for it to spread a little faster. Its a solid green, 4 or 5 different ripped leaves, but you still have plenty to work with. The plant is clearly of high quality, and was taken care of. This is where I talk about the missing star in my 4 star review. I received the plant in a small box. Thankfully I didnt receive the famous " envelope" that everyone else has received. I got a small 3x3x3 inch box. Very small mind you, and inside was the plant. Inside was a business card and some plastic foam pocket things. The same stuff that glass screen protectrs come in. This seemed a bit odd for me. The plant was inside those pockets and thats it. Seeing as in my state we have been seeing temperatures well below the 32°F freezing point, I was expecting aome sort of heating pad or warming pad. Also, the plants werent sealed in a plastic bag of some sort to keep it moist in the shipping process. Granted I got mine in 2 days, but that might be an inconvenience in other cases. The roots were however wrapped in a moist pad so that they don't dry out. I guess that works, kind of, but was expecting a more airproof package. Overall a great price, and a great plant.

I bought this little plant a year ago and despite the bad reviews it has turned out very well for me. She has gone abundantly and looks prettier every day. I will be buying more plants like this. I like how it comes well packed in a small box with liquid to protect it. I recommend this provider.

Good plant

I received a nice little specimen, but honestly, it was smaller than I thought it would be. I think it was my fault… Years ago, I had some small I Nubias plan I received a nice little specimen, but honestly, it was smaller than I thought it would be. I think it was my fault… Years ago, I had some small anubias plants that kept sprouting out plantlets. I thought that they were A. nana petite, but in retrospect, they were probably just regular A. nana, small specimens. This variety of nana truly is tiny, and adorable… Probably best suited for a nano tank to be fully appreciated. Still, looks quite nice on my Driftwood in a 55 gallon. I just had to cut up the rhizome int to be fully appreciated. Still, looks quite nice on my Driftwood in a 55 gallon. I just had to cut up the rhizome to get four plantlets and attached them to the holes in the Malaysian Driftwood. I love anubias in general and this makes a nice little addition to my collection; just make sure you understand that you are truly getting a tiny specimen. I did not receive mine in a soft yellow envelope as some people complained of; so at least that was good. It was shipped to me in a small box that took about two weeks to arrive… All plants looked lush and green on arrival.

Anubias are characteristically undemanding and grow robust leaves which fish have trouble damaging. As with other Anubias, Aubias barteriprefers to be tied to driftwood or stones, rather than buried under substrate. Never release plant species into the wild. Before discarding excess growth, allow the plants to fully dry. Photo depicts sample plant, not the actual plant you will receive.

Anubias sp. ‘Petite’ is a mutation which appeared in cultivation at the Oriental aquarium plant nursery in Singapore.
Stays less than 5 cm tall, has very small leaves and a rhizome of 5-10 cm or more from which the leaves will grow. Branches well and creates dense groups. Undemanding like the other Anubias and does not appreciate high light intensity either.
It is most decorative when attached to stones or roots, and like other Anubias it should be attached with fishing line until it gains a hold. If planted in the bottom, do not cover the rhizome as this may cause the plant to rot and die. An ideal plant for miniature landscapes in small aquariums but will also attract attention in larger tanks.
Country or continent where a plant is the most common.
Cultivars arise or are bred in cultivation.
Growth rate of the plant compared to other aquatic plants.

Average height (cm) of the plant after two months in the tank.
The average or medium light demand of an aquarium plant is 0,5 W/L.
A medium need in CO2 is 6-14 mg/L.
A high demand in CO2 is approx. 15-25 mg/L.
