Born on November 28, 1967 (died on February 8, 2007) as Vickie Lynn Hogan, she was an American model, actress and TV personality popularly known as Anna Nicole Smith. She was in the ninth grade when she was dispatched to live with her mother’s younger sister named Kay Beall in Mexia, Texas. She attended Mexia High School, but, failed in her freshman year and later she dropped out of school during her sophomore year.
Her first brush with fame was in the Playboy magazine after she won the 1993 Playmate of the Year title. She modeled for fashion brands like Guess, H&M, Heatherette and Lane Bryant. At the age of 14, Anna Nicole Smith dropped out of her high school in 1982 and she was 17 when she got married in 1985.
However, it was her next marriage that was subject to a lot of media coverage. She had married an 89 year old billionaire named J. Howard Marshall who had 16% holding in Koch Industries. There was a lot of speculation about her having married the octogenarian for wealth, although, she refuted the claims.
After his death, she had entered a lengthy legal battle over a share of his estate. The case Marshall v Marshall reached the Supreme Court of the United States. During the last six months of her life, Smith had to face a lot of media glare after her son Daniel died.
She was also in the news regarding the custody battle as well as paternity of her newly born daughter named Dannielynn Birkhead. Smith died in a Hollywood, Florida hotel room in the year 2007 as a result of a prescription drug overdose.
