If you're looking for anime similar to The Familiar of Zero , you might like these titles.
Sakai Yuuji thought he was a normal high school student, until one fateful day when time stopped. Watching in horror, he witnesses a monster devouring the "frozen" people around him; but luckily for Yuuji, he is saved by a sword-wielding red-headed girl that calls herself a "Flame Haze". The girl informs him that he has been dead for some time now and that his current self is merely a replacement for the human that he used be while alive. He is, she says, merely a torch whose life will come to an end when the blue flame in his chest ceases to burn. After this rude awakening, Yuuji realizes that he is able to see the flames of life in other "torches"; and after discovering that a friend of his is also a torch -- and her life is burning out faster than his – he gains the courage to live out the rest of his life with meaning. Will Yuuji be able to find his place in the world before he ceases to exist?
The characters in ZnT and Shana have identical personalities and voices. In Shana, the orthodox style of weaponry/culture is replaced with oriental-style magic and arms.
Both Shakugan no Shana and Zero no Tsukaima have a similiar female protagonist. Though they both have feelings for the male protagonists, their attitudes towards the male protagonists are rather cold.
Also, the "she" and "he" live together in both of these series, which gives you a hope for fluff that might happen between the characters.
Controlling women. That's it. In both ZnT and Shana there are controlling female protagonists that more or less make the male protagonist their slave. There's decent fan service in both of them. Plus, in both, the female protagonist has small breasts which they are very sensitive about. That adds some very good comedy to both series. If you liked one of these, then you should definitely check out the other.
The female lead characters in both Shakugan no Shana and Zero no Tsukaima are of the type generally known as つんでれ ( tsundere, from tsuntsun plus deredere , "aloof"+"lovestruck"); that is, girls who are at first distant and cold, but later (or privately) soften up and become loving. This female stereotype is very popular with some anime fans -- and if it's your thing, then these two anime have excellent examples of the type.
Another similar trait is the status of the male lead characters. Both are suddenly whirled into a world of supernatural events and horrifying threats. Both find themselves completely subservient to the female leads, with little or no social status left to them. And both grow under the pressures imposed by their situations.
Of course, there is also the common voice acting cast to mention -- both anime feature the same central cast of seiyuu , in roughly the same parts: Kugimiya Rie and Satoshi Hino as the lead characters, with Kawasumi Ayako in a strong supporting rôle -- as well as the capable animation direction by Fujii Masahiro .
In short, if you like either of these anime, you are sure to like the other.
Shakugan no Shana and Zero no Tsukaima share similar characters, the same voice actors, and a similar plot. The story lines are different, but if you like one, you will like the other. It's not even close to a gut feeling, it is the truth!
When comparing two separate anime that are similar you can expect a few similarities, story line, animation style, or even plot. But when looking at the similarities between Shakugan no Shana and Zero no Tsukaima a huge array oh similarities unfold. Both anime consist of love triangles, sword fighting, same voice actors, and talking inanimate objects (Alastor a pendant and Derflinger a sword). Though the similarities are uncanny there still are there differences. In the case of Zero, Saito is charged with protecting Louise, male protecting female. In the case of Shana, Shana is charged with protecting Sakai, female protecting male.
Through the similarities and the differences you can see that overall these animes are incredibly alike. Mostly this is do to having a similar theme which is just rehashed and given a fresh story, giving the viewer a whole new story.
Overall these anime share more in common than a lot of other anime. It is in my honest opinion that if you enjoyed either one, I believe you would enjoy the other. So check them out when you have the time and enjoy! ^_^
Both shows have a similar feel, a seemingly cold much more powerful (at least at first) female (Shana in SnS and Louise in Znt) take on a much weaker male (Yuji in SnS and Saito in ZnT) as their partner. They even seen to be falling in love when in both series an annoying female character (Kazumi in SnS and Siesta in Znt) decides to go after the male lead.
Both of these anime combine magical elements with school life activities. The characters have very similar personalities and the humor follows the same vein. If you liked one you'd probably like the other.
It has nearly the same concept, with the boy and girl (soon to be lovers) fight against a common enemy. but Shakugan is a very good anime one of the best that iv seen.
I first watched Shana before Zero, and in a great need for closure, I decided to try Zero hoping for the same feel in anime.
For one... I thought they were really different, much more different than I was led on to believe. However, there were very obvious similarities too. Shana and Louise were both strong, dominant females. Both have problems with their feelings for Yuji/Saito and there's also the other female characters that go crazy for the guy. As for plot, both have their supernatural aspects. Both deal with the idea of dying and how "killing is bad". In general, if you liked THAT part of the anime, then yes! I bet you'll enjoy one as much as you enjoyed the other.
And of course... there were the differences. Shana was more about plot, a lot of action and VERY little character development (IMO)... while Zero was more comedy, romance and OBVIOUS character development. I guess it's more of your taste in anime. I personally liked Zero more. It had it's sad moments... but the plot carried through. Shana was a little slow for me, and it had a lot of fillers (while Zero was MEANT to have fillers). However, both leave potential for third seasons (I think Zero does have one coming out), so watch for that!
Both shows focus on stubborn girl who struggle admitting her feelings to the clueless boy who helps her out, (a common plot) and let us not forget the superior girl with large breast that also love him. Ahh, the ever so common love triangle. Anyway; although they have common plots these shows differences are few, and are almost siblings plot wise. So if you like one you'll with out a doubt want to check out the other.
Both series, Shakugan no Shana ???????? and Zero no Tsukaima ????????, are very similar in many ways. Firstly, both main characters are girls whose personalities are very alike. They are short-tempered and don't get along with the male protagonists at the beginning. However, as the series progres, so are their relationships.
In addition, both series are produced by J.C. Staff , and main characters are voiced by the same seiyuu ????. Kugimiya Rie ?????? as female protagonists, Hino Satoshi ????? as male protagonists and Kawasumi Ayako ?????? as supporting character.
So, if you like one series, or any of those seiuu , you should check out the second one also.
both series tell us how is the aventures of the two principal characters, and the hard job that they have to find who is the real person that they love. all this in a world involve into the magic and mystical creatures.whitout forget the funny side.
These animes are really similar. Both are about magic, fights and romance of 2 main characters. Seiyu are same, animations too - same studio.
Well, if you like Shana then you'll probably like Zero no Tsukaima.... tiny, unreasonable girl falls for bewildered guy who has no idea what the *$#@ is going on but feels the need to protect said girl. Spoiled girl abuses guy... guy continues to act like knight... meanwhile they kill a lot of lmagically charged creatures. There is very little character development (didn't Saito have a family...?)
one word. Tsundere girls. both anime focus on relitively powerless males, pulled into a powerful girl's world, the powerful girl being a tsundere character... add in some shonen action, harem commedy, and some moe and you have two anime that are very similiar in many ways.
Zero no Tsukaima and Shakugan no Shana are two shows with a similar premise. The guy gets thrown into a strange world, meets a tsundere girl who acts all high and mighty there, and during the anime the guy tries to get stronger in order to help the girl. Art-wise, they are also very similar in their character design and quality of the animation. Both shows have plenty of tsundere and action, Zero having more of the first and Shana more of the latter. If you liked one of these, don't miss out on the other!
the main characters are very much alike, but its a different plot in a different world, its also geneon which made both of the animes
Both of the animes are made by JC Staff, involve supernatural powers, an underlying love story, and strong female lead characters voiced by the same actress (in Japanese).
Both Zero no Tsukaima and Shakugan no Shana have characters with similar roles. They both have a leading female character with a male character that assists the female when it comes to combat, with the male and female having a slightly obvious romantic interest in each other. There is also a female character in both that is jealous of the leading female character's good relationship with the male character.
I did not look it up but I think both of the main girls have the same Jappanese voice actor. The girls both act very similar. They both are in love with the main guys but don't know exactly to show it. They both yell at them a lot and feel down a lot as well. Both shows make you feel good and love the characters. Both involve fighting. The guys are also thrown into a magical world against their agreement. Thus these shows have the same feeling to them.
Both animes have a simular set of main characters, both of the girls in this series have a out going and forward personality, while the guys both have a attitude to move forward and try the best they can to assist in anyway possible. So if had injoyed one of the series, more or less you will like the other to some extent.
In Zero you have an master-server positioning same goes for Shana. The master is in love with the server and shows tsundere behavior. Server has in the both the beginnings no real feelings for the master but wants to help and protect them even if they gonna feel pain for that reason. The difference later on is that in Zero the server is gonna love the master too, while in Shana it stays a mystery what will happen. In both of series it is also that that the server actually comes out of a different world then the master in Zero it really is an other world and in Shana it comes close to living in different worlds. Both the series are just to beat the super evil enemy witch require the master and server work together with also other characters to save the world from lose it's peace.
That are the reasons why you would like the other if you liked the first. You still will like the other even if you didn't like the first because the storyline is not very equal.
Zero no Tsukaima and Shakugan No Shana are practically the same. A magical girl treats an ordinary boy as her 'pet'. Then, she realizes she was in wrong and falls in love with him, vice versa. In both animes, Shana and Louise face constant enemies throughout the show. They both had no idea what love was like, nor any special feeling for the male protagonist until late in the series. Both girls also have rivals for the love of the male protagonist. The rivals for both shows are much the same, and also look alike except the fact in Zero No Tsukaima, the rival for Saito's love looks much more mature, but inside she is a very shy, unconfident girl who does not think she will be able to win his heart. In Shakugan No Shana, Kazumi is the same age as Shana and also feels that way about Yuji.
Despite the fact that Zero no Tsukaima gives a merrier atmosphere and it is less about the fighting, Shana resembles it in a few ways. Those ways mostly involve the main characters and how they treat each other. In both animes, the girl looks almost the same, and has the same mischievous behaviour towards the boy, who has to be taught by her and mostly do as she commands. However, love comes between them while they are both too shy to admit it. If you liked one, you should like the other!
ZnT is so similar to SnS that it could be sued for copyright infiringement.
That is, if it wasnt made by the same studio.
Honestly I dont need to go into much detail to explain why you'd like one from the other, just know this: If these 2 were any more similar JC Staff would sue themselves.
Both series have a tsundere female character who has supernatural powers and the male lead who has has some sort of special ability that the female falls in love with. Both are made by J.C.Staff and both feature the same female lead voice actor at least in the japanese version.
This two shows are essentially the same in every aspect aside from the setting. You have your male lead who is powerless and the female lead that looks down on him because of his lack of power at first. The male then becomes stronger in order to protect the female all the while getting abused and whipped by the female... and eventually they fall in love. Even the voice actors of both the male and female leads are the same people in both shows. If you have watched Shana, and you start to watch Zero, you will be expecting an "Urusai Urusai Urusai" at just about every point int the show. it's a little disappointing that it never comes :) If you liked Shana, you will like Zero no Tsukamia and vice versa. There is no ands, ifs, or buts.
Both of these anime's are made of the same company, and both of them has the same setting with a male and female as the main charactars, with a second female falling in love with the male. Both of the animes also have the same rawing style and is a comedy in its own ways.
Shana has the same seiyuu like in ZnT. It describes simillar story, but it takes action in other world and time.
A young man not yet ready to protect what is important to him but willing to give his all to do so and a "important" young lady with dominative behaviour, you'll see this in both animes, with a comical effect in Zero no Tsukaima and a maturing one for Yuuji in Shakugan no Shana.
Shakugan no Shana is like Zero no Tsukaima in several ways. The first is that both shows feature a girl with a magic power who is assisted by a boy who appears to be powerless. Second is that both series have a strong tsundere realtionship between the girl and boy. It is safe to say if you are fan of one you will like the other.
Pretty much you got similar stories here. Okay the heroine encounters a young Japanese boy and gets more than what they bargin for. A relationship builds in the midst of magic battles as well as a potential harem brews. Great romance and standard plot lines for the two similar animes.
Zero no Tsukaima and Shakugan no Shana both have rather harsh main tsundere heroines. The male lead is dragged into a supernatural reality from the very beginning, and drives the tsundere (and viewers) mental with his overly optimistic attitude. If you like tsundere, you should check both of these out.
Zero no Tsukaima and Shakugan no Shana I'd recommend for the same reason as Toradora, except one more thing, for these two the male protaganist is sent off to another world where the female leading character is already use to. Both worlds are a place of magic and stronger beings. And the male characters wind up stuck in this world with the female characters both having to help each other
This comparison is obvious...same sort of dynamic between the two lead characters, and not only because they are voiced by the same voice actors (in Japanese, anyway.) ZnT is the "original" Shakugan no Shana clone...well, I'm mostly adding this opinion to make sure people who have seen one go check out the other, if they really liked it.
If you liked the story type here, normal guy brought into a not so normal world, then you should consider the other series. Both are beautifully drawn anime series, and both have characters you'll grow to love.
Nearly identical cast, and similar themes. Although they have their obvious differences, they're also very similar. Same love-conflict situation, main love interest is a Tsundere, fantasy elements, talking objects, et cetera. Shakugan no Shana has a lot more drama and a lot less fan service compared to Zero no Tsukaima, which is the main difference IMO.
Both of these series share the same type of formula, a seemingly normal guy's life becomes entwined with that of a girl who has a much more crazy fate. Both Shana and Louise are extremely similar to each other and that's not even counting that they have the same voice actress. If you like romance, comedy, fantasy, action, etc. then you will like both of these series.
Both shows have the same sort of setting becuase they both have a fantasy setting / person in a strange world. And the characters are quite similar
Louise & Shana are both tsundere protaganist so if you liked one of them you will most likely like the other
Saito & Yuuji are also quite the same they both have to adapt to a diffrent aspect of life and both have to learn how to fight. also both feature talking items in shana it's a talking pendant or amulet and in Zero no Tsukaima it's a talking sword
Overall both shows have share most of the same things so if you liked one you will most likely like the other too.
they are Similar in genre : person from strange world, tsundere, fantasy, action, magic.. If you like Shakugan no Shana, you would also like to watch Zero no tsukaima (vice versa)
They both have an action story with a main romance, the same kind of animation and a little bit of a harem feeling to it.
the main female characters have similar personalities and voice actors. The main male charcters are both classed "person in a starnge world" and though the plot is different they both have the same feel to it. If you liked one you will (probably) like the other
If you like Shana you will like Zero too and vice versa, because the two main characters are some magical girls with the same personality who always shout "Shut up!" and are getting in love the in a similar way.
If you like romance shows with a supernatural, tsundere girl and a normal boy, either one of these is a good choice. Furthermore, both deal with the boy's feelings as he tries to become strong enough to protect the girl. Shakugan no Shana has a much darker tone, though.
Both involve swordplay, and both can be considered action/romance. Also both have use of magic.
Both anime revolve around the premise of a male lead entering a reality or world that parallels his own by way of the female lead. Both involve multiple females vying for the male's love, whilst the male also attempts to gain power and better himself for the girl that brought him into his reality. Shakugan leans a bit more to the serious side, while Zero no Tsukaima involves a bit more ecchi and comedy.
Both share similarites in not only their plots, but also in the way the characters interact with one another. In both, you find a male lead whose world is more or less entirely turned upside down and must learn to adapt to these new challenges, and usually involve a mix of sword and
