High School DxD is one of the most successful harem anime in recent years. Its enormous popularity led to the release of a second season, High School DxD New, in July of 2013. A third anime television series, High School DxD BorN will premiere in April 2015. This series has proven that even a fan service show can be entertaining when combined with a fantastic plot and captivating character development.
High School DxD Plot: The story follows a horny high school student named Issei Hyodo, who dreams of being surrounded by women and is enrolled at a formerly all-girls high school with a secret. The secret is that angels, fallen angels, and devils comprise part of the student population. After an ordinary day at school, Issei is asked out on a date by a woman who turns out to be a fallen angel and tries to kill him. Issei subsequently gets revived by a devil, Rias Gremory, who forces him to serve her devil family.

Highschool of the Dead is a horror harem anime released in Japan in July 2010. It differs from other anime with a high school theme. It is also a straight-up horror anime.
The story revolves around a group of high school students who are caught in the middle of a deadly pandemic referred to as Them. This plague turns humans into zombies, and every person in town is in grave danger. The group tries to survive the outbreak, but there are several challenges along the way. Fellow survivors pose threats, and enemies surround our heroes wherever they go.
How long will the group last? Will they be able to rescue other survivors they come across? You'll have to watch to find out!
Can you resist making a deal with a smoking hot goddess of death? If you're like Ryosuke Kaga, the protagonist in this series, you can't. Ryosuke is a horny student at the Momozomo Academy who happens upon a girl standing alone in the rain.

Hasegawa Kodaka is a transfer student at St. Chronica’s Academy. He has brown-blonde hair which, coupled with his piercing eyes, makes him look like a delinquent. Because of this, he has trouble making friends.
One day, he runs into an equally solitary classmate named Yozora Mikazuki as she talks with her imaginary friend, Tomo. Realizing that they both lack in the social department, they decide to establish the Neighbor’s Club, a club for people with no friends.
Eventually, they meet the arrogant Sena Kashiwazaki, an underclassman named Yukimura Kusunoki, and Rika Shiguma, a wayward genius. Will this wild mix of personalities be able to get along with each other?
A tremendous spacequake shattered the land of Eurasia and caused the death of 150 million people. Since this tragic event, smaller spacequakes have plagued the world. Itsuka Shido, a high school student, comes across a girl after a huge explosion.
His sister-in-law, Kotori, tells him that the girl is one of the Spirits, the entities that are responsible for the spacequakes. At the same time, Kotori admits that she is the commander of the airship Fraxinus under the anti-spirit organization Ratatoskr. She tells Shido that he has the ability to seal the powers of the Spirits.
Kotori asks Shido to take the spirit girl on a date. The challenge, however, is that in order to seal a Spirit’s power, Shido must capture the heart of the girl and kiss her. You'll have to watch the series to find out what happens.
Rito Yuuki is a high school student who cannot muster the confidence to confess his love to Haruna Sairenji, the girl of his dreams. One day, while in the bathtub, a girl appears out of nowhere. She is Lala, a girl from the planet Deviluke, where she is poised to take the throne. Lala’s father asks her to return to her planet and marry one of the candidates he has picked out for her, but she refuses. She wants to marry Rito and stay on Earth.
Commander Zastin is commanded to bring Lala back, but he returns to the king with the news that Rito, in fact, is suitable to marry Lala. The king decides that Rito can marry Lala, but only if he can defeat the other husband candidates. Otherwise, the king will end Rito’s life and destroy Earth.
A retired baseball player by the name of Godou Kusanagi is asked by his grandfather to return a stone tablet to Lucretia Zola, an old friend that lives in Sardinia. After meeting the demonically manipulative sword-mistress Erica Blandelli, he encounters the god of war, Verethragna, and subsequently kills it. This event makes Godou a Campione, or god slayer, and his new task is to ward off and fight heretical gods that wreak havoc on earth for their own selfish purposes.
Being a Campione elevates him to a special status, which comes with several problems. Perhaps the biggest is the fact that girls now adore him to an extreme. Erica Blandelli, a magic swordswoman, and member of the European magic organization, in particular, lets the world know that she loves Godou, putting them in awkward and funny situations.
Kinjiro Sakamachi is one very unlucky high school boy. He suffers from gynophobia, also known as the fear of women. Even the slightest contact with a female makes his nose bleed. This proves to be especially troublesome because he comes from a family of female wrestlers.
One day at school, he goes to the men’s washroom and discovers that Subaru Konoe, the handsome butler of Kanade, the principal’s daughter, is actually a female.
After this discovery, Kinjiro must now work with Subaru and the twisted Kanade to protect her secret from other students.
Tsukune Aono is a troubled teenager with poor grades. Because of this, he can't get into any local high schools and his parents decide to enroll him at Yokai Academy. Tsukune soon discovers that Yokai is a boarding school for monsters that teaches them how to coexist with humans. He meets Moka Akashiya, and they soon become good friends.
One day while fighting a school bully, Tsukune accidentally takes off the rosary around Moka’s neck. To his surprise, Moka turns into a powerful vampire with a completely different personality. Tsukune decides to stay at Yokai to be with Moka, and he meets other monsters, including the succubus Kurumu Kurono and a witch named Yukari Sendo.
Earth has been invaded by aliens from another dimension called the Nova. In order to save the world from total downfall, Pandoras and Limiters are trained to battle the aliens. Pandoras are genetically modified girls that possess superb fighting skills and their male partners have an ability to freeze that cripples the mobility of enemies.
The story follows Kazuya Aoi, a Limiter who decides to team up with Satellizer el Bridget, a powerful Pandora with haphephobia. They are eventually joined by Rana Linchen, a Pandora who is in search of her Limiter. She believes Kazuya is her soulmate, igniting a rivalry with Satellizer. How will this feud affect their quest to save Earth?
Minato Sahashi is an extremely intelligent 19-year-old, but he always fails to perform under pressure. This causes him to fail the college entrance exams twice, making others he is an idiot.
He meets a girl named Musubi, and his life changes forever. Minato is a Sekirei, and she has chosen Minato as her Ashikabi, a human with special powers that enables them to form a contract with a Sekirei. This allows Musubi to use her full power when battling other Sekirei in the Sekirei Plan, a competition among Sekirei organized by Hiroto Minaka, the founder of the MBI Corporation.
Other Sekirei eventually choose Minato as their Ashikabi, increasing the tensions among the girls. Minato must quickly find a way to survive the battles as well as the constant competition among the Sekirei in pursuit of him.

I've watched Highschool of the Dead before a few times. I know that it's weird for someone to rewatch an anime a few times over but for me it always got to me. The action, love, comedy, and the similarities it has with "The Walking Dead". I only wish that I could be able to watch more episodes of highschool of the dead, but sadly after that tunami hit Japan the producers were hit and all their work destroyed, now sadly I highly doubt we will be able to keep seeing episodes of highschool of the dead :(. For me, besides a few others, highschool of the dead is the best anime I've ever seen.

Rozario+vampire and freezing are both good anime with slow starts dont take it down off of the first episode its always good to try watching atleast three episodes of an anime before judging wether or not you like it or else your going to miss out on alot of good anime, over all i like the list all the anime ive watched,

While "Date a Live" and "Sekirei" are great anime, they are simply incomplete without any chance of actually ever being completed.

Watched all of these anime as well. With number one being between Sekirei and Rosario + Vampire. Worst one was high school of the dead...felt too Americanized for me. Plot was choppy...and can in no way be compared to High School DXD which is absolutely the BEST HAREM ANIME out there. Lots of nudity...humor...sort of a reverse harem. And very much action packed. Sekirei is really similar to it as well as Date A Live, however none are as good. :-) Enjoy.
Frrezing is "okay " you could say but i liked Highschool of the dead it was the most similar to dxd in my opinion but it didnt have a kiss scene like dxd which is okay would ha e been better to be honest

Rosario+Vampire is a different story.. It's a nice anime but there are in my opinion too many events going on at the same time in it..
Just finished Freezing. The anime has potential, good storyline, but i think the 12 episodes it gets aren't enough to coverup all the bases. An anime with 24 episodes would have been better for Freezing. All in all I'm kinda dissapointed in this anime. The ending didn't make much sence in regards of the rest of the anime. And on top of that where the OVA's just garbage. 6 episodes of around 3 minutes with nothing but breastrubbing in it.. Good way to end the anime... -.-

The Testament of Sister New Devil manga has recently been remade (The Testament of Sister New Devil STORM!), but the original’s greater emphasis on action over sex makes it feel a lot more like an anime like High School DxD.
Basara Tōjō, a high school student, gets two new stepsisters when his dad remarries: Mio and Maria. Basara soon learns that his two stepsisters are actually of the demon clan. Maria is a succubus and servant to Mio, the Demon Princess and next in line to rule. They attempt to enslave Basara, only to learn that Basara comes from the hero clan, and possesses a cursed sword specifically crafted to kill demons. The trio of step-siblings form a truce, and attempt to use a spell to make it easier for Basara to look out for his new baby stepsisters, but Maria messes it up. The spell ends up cursing Mio, and forces her to experience an extreme aphrodisiac effect whenever she disobeys Basara. The three siblings must learn to live together and accept their new status quo, all while Basara and Maria work to protect Mio from other demons that covet her title for the throne.
Like High School DxD, the main character of The Testament of Sister New Devil is surrounded by devils. Much like Issei, Basara doesn’t view them as demonic though. To Basara, Mio and Maria are his sisters, and nothing more. This makes Basara and Mio’s growing sexual relationship feel more than a little like incest, but much like the sexual encounters in High School DxD. These moments add both erotic and comedic elements to the story and help spice up the smaller scenes between the fantastical battles and is a great anime like High School DxD.
One of the most recent shows on this list of anime like High School DxD, Trinity Seven’s original season ran in 2014. It was then followed up by an OVA in 2015 and film in 2017. The show has a greater emphasis on romantic comedy than High School DxD, but fans of one will love the other.
Arata Kasuga is a seemingly normal high school student who learns that his high school life is artificially created. A grimoire built his life after a phenomenon destroyed his original city, family, and friends. Now free of the delusion, he aims to master the power of the grimoire. He goes to Royal Biblia Academy, a school that trains magic users, where he meets the Trinity Seven, seven girls who each specialize in one of magic’s seven fields. A prophecy demands he dominate over all of them, so he spends his days befriending the seven girls. Ultimately, his attempts at friendship cause all seven to develop various levels of romantic feelings for him.
The battles in Trinity Seven aren’t as visually impressive as those seen in High School DxD, but the show does double down on the sexy misunderstandings like other anime like High School DxD would.
The amount of sexual content in High School of the Dead is only outweighed by the number of times the laws of physics are defied. Plenty of scenes in the show will force you to suspend your disbelief. That being said, the show does provide an entertaining look at how a group of high school students might survive the zombie apocalypse without the aide of adults.
The harem elements are minimalistic in this anime like High School DxD, as most of the women who express an interest in Takashi, the main character, eventually shift their emotions to other men in the group. Also, High School of the Dead gets plenty bloody at times too. Unlike High School DxD’s cartoon levels of violence, High School of the Dead features plenty of blood and some instances of gore.
This anime like High School DxD hits the monstrous girl harem trope squarely on the head. The anime features many stereotypical monsters that most audiences are probably familiar with (like vampires and witches) as well as monsters that are mostly associated with Japanese mythology (like snow fairies).
The story follows Tsukune Aono, an average high school boy who accidentally ends up enrolling in a school for monsters. On his first day, he overhears that humans are forbidden on campus and killed for trespassing. Although he initially plans on leaving as soon as he gets through his first day, he meets and befriends a kind vampire named Moka Akashiya. She discovers he is a human and he discovers that she wears a rosary around her neck that keeps her true personality (a ruthless and arrogant warrior) tucked away so she can be a kind and bubbly person. They agree to keep each other’s secrets, and Tsukune decides to stay at the school.
