Star Shannon has the most natural-looking rack out of all soft-porn leading ladies, making movies like this watchable over and over. But Elizabeth Sandifer stole the show for me in this medium paced erotic drama, appearing real and exciting in her sexuality, and is worth watching a great deal more. Alas, the wooden-faced Woody Brown dulls the screen again.

A women wants more sex with her cop husband but he generally ignors her.He loves her but is an honest cop and the pressures of his job are getting to him.His desperate wife finally seduces a cable tv guy and her cop husband catches her in bed with the cable guy.He tells her how hot he finds that and has super sex with her and suggest she has more affairs so he can watch.She has numerous affairs with guys as her husband tapes them and gets his rocks off with her afterward.The trouble comes when she has sex with a thug who works for the man her husband is trying to get off the streets.This leads to a blackmail plot.A very good sexploitation movie in which a nude Shannon Whirry is prominently displayed.I'd have given it 5 stars but the soundtrack on my dvd import sounds like it was recordeed at three quarter speed.
Horrible movie -- predictable plot, horrible acting and sets only used in San Fernando Valley movies. Save your time, save your money and save your intelligence. Watch something else!
arrived in perfect condition. This is not hardcore, so don't rush to get that KY ready. This is a very good "pre-foreplay" flick, to get your potential lover in the mood, with more "suggest" scenes than "explicit" Let's, of course, be pragmatic about the ramped inaccuracies out there, regarding the difference between eroticism and porn. This flick is eroticism. Must we also say, that there's no harm in watching others enjoy themselves? Afterall, lovemaking and porn are truly only differentiated by frame of mind. If a couple mutually agree on an activity, then there's no cheating, either. If you're a religious person, then don't watch this. But hey...God created our bodies to DO THIS!
An amazing movie. I have it on vhs. Copied it to dvd. To have it on Amazon for the price I paid is Heavenly. Someone was selling the vhs for hundreds of dollars on Amazon. Wow.

Should've known better
Seems I am only the second 2 star reviewer. The plot synopsis makes the film sound intersting but it is just a poorly acted soft porno skin-flick. The leading lady seems to have a great figure but we really only get to see her breasts which, admittedly, are great. The "sex" scenes are tounge in cheek dry wriggling which, after the first couple of times get to be as boring as watching paint dry. The film has nothing to recommend it.
This is actually a rather fun soft porn erotic thriller. Yes its not oscar material but the kinky story line s far superior to any Sharon Stone rubbish . Somthing to watch with your partner late at night.

Gezoomt und nicht restauriert
Der Film war ein B-Movie für das Fernsehen. Das Originalformat ist daher 4:3. Um "mit der Zeit zu gehen" wurde das Bild gezoomt um ein 16:9 Bild zu erreichen. Das zerstört die Bildkomposition und gerade bei einem Erotikfilm werden die Aufnahmen so zunichte gemacht. Die Bildqualität kommt nicht aus dem Niveau einer alten VHS-Kassette. Leider nur ein Stern!

Die DVD habe ich pünktlich erhalten und sie war sehr gut verpackt. Den Film kannte ich vom Fernsehen. Ich fand den Film sehr langweilig

Pheromones fly fast and furious when a dissatisfied housewife's (the awesomely pneumatic Shannon Whirry) discovery of her patrolman husband's (Maxwell Caulfield) voyeuristic tendencies lead them into a realm of uninhibited naughtiness (an area director Gregory Hippolyte knows extremely well, having directed a multitude of legendary XXX features under the pseudonym Greg Dark). Say what you will about the amateurish lead performances and gaping plot holes, but this piece of straight-to-video nirvana undeniably delivers the goods exploitation-wise, with some unexpectedly stylish camerawork, a few unexpected twists, and an amazing array of has-been character actors (John Saxon! David Carradine as a flesh-peddler! Jan-Michael Vincent!) in secondary roles. The picture quality on this aptly titled full-frame DVD is a trifle washed-out, but it does include a stellar sound mix, production notes, and an onscreen chapter list for viewers wanting to skip ahead to the, um, major story developments. --Andrew Wright

if you were expecting something like animal instincts, for get it. it is like buying a box of your favorite cereal and you find out there is nothing in the box......bummer
"Animal Instincts 2" doesn't quite measure up to the standard set by the first "Animal Instincts" (again, get the unrated VHS version; the DVD version has been substantially cut), but Shannon Whirry still puts your video system at serious risk of burnout whenever she appears on the screen!

Animal Instincts is an American voyeuristic and erotic 1992 thriller - drama film. The cast includes David Carradine , Shannon Whirry , Jan-Michael Vincent and Maxwell Caulfield . [1] This film spawned two sequels: Animal Instincts 2 (1994) (also with Whirry) and Animal Instincts 3 (also known as Animal Instincts: The Seductress ).
Joanna Cole (Whirry) talks of meeting a man named David (Caulfield), the latter may be a cop . Their marriage is in strong precarious positions, so they resort to involvements in voyeurism and blackmail . The wife begins becoming involved in multiple extramarital affairs to several other men, for which reason Joanna's husband watches her doing that.
But then, mobsters learn about their sexual activities and start getting involved. [2]
Animal Instincts was rated R in the United States for explicit sexual material and profanity. [3] Similar ratings were bestowed on the film in Australia under the Office of Film and Literature Classification Rating Board (for "high level sexual material") [4] and the British Board of Film Classification (BBFC) Rating System Network. [5]
Animal Instincts was given mixed to substandard reviews by audience and film critics. Under Rotten Tomatoes , the audience gave the film only a 14% rating. [6] The Radio Times Magazine bestowed a two-star rating onto the film. [7] The TV Guide Magazine gave an extremely negative review to the film. [8] MUBI , however, was among one of several positive reviews toward the film. [9]
