Celebrating The Wild Life Of Cult Movie Queen Angelique Pettyjohn!
One of the things I truly enjoy about my “2021 Sex Kitten Countdown” is sharing the fascinating stories of some of our favorite Actresses and Models…and this one is really wild!
Angelique Pettyjohn may not be that well known – except of course to fans of “Star Trek” and Elvis! Here’s why!
Angelique was born Dorothy Lee Perrins in 1943 in Los Angeles. She became a fan favorite for life when she appeared in season two of the original “Star Trek” TV series.
Angelique was Shahna in “The Gamesters Of Triskelion” episode in 1968 – she also appeared in the popular TV show “Get Smart” as well.
Her biggest mainstream success was opposite the King, Elvis Presley, in the film “Clambake.”
So far so good, right? Lots of roles in TV and film – except she had an entirely different career path going on at the same time – in exploitation films!
She had her first taste of cult film stardom with the 1967 film “The Love Rebellion,” as well as “The Touch Of Her Flesh” that same year.
She also appeared in “Hell’s Belles” in 1969 – and what about this one?
“The Curious Female” in 1970 is just one of the raucous, raunchy films she appeared in – here are a few more:
She continued to appear in various film and TV shows throughout the 70’s. In the early 1980s, she worked as a stripper in Las Vegas!
The Actress went even further, and in the early 80’s briefly got into the world of XXX-rated cinema!
In these adult films, she was billed as either “Angel St. John”, “Heaven St. John”, or under her old moniker, “Angelique”.
Oh, and she wasn’t afraid to showcase much much more of herself with some of that vintage “Star Trek” costume taken off!
After retiring from adult film, she went back to small roles in 80’s films like “Repo Man”, and also became a regular at Star Trek conventions.
Pettyjohn appeared at her last science fiction convention in autumn 1989. That’s where she met a fan who ended up becoming a lifelong friend, writing her memoir!
This book is on amazon right now, and in it, Angelique says she had a baby, Elvis Aaron Presley Jr, with the King. that has been disputed by his estate, but the story is there to read more about!
After her brief adult film career, Angelique returned to Las Vegas to cash in on her cult notoriety as an exotic dancer! Her online biography says she was 46 years old, doing what made her happy, performing for a live audience.
Sadly, Angelique died of cervical cancer at age 48 on February 14, 1992 in Las Vegas. What a life – makes me want to read that book!
Angelique’s life reminded me of a number of other “sex kittens” who went from TV to more adult films:

Another great entry! I wondered if the Angelique in THE TOUCH OF HER FLESH was Angelique Pettyjohn. I managed to get a picture of her in her Triskelion outfit at a Sci-Fi convention decades ago. She seemed like a very sweet gal.
