In December 2014, Lara Croft: Tomb Raider actress Angelina Jolie attended a screening of her movie ‘Unbroken’ at Lighthouse International in New York City. On the same day, she also showed up for a Q&A session at the Museum of Modern Art.
In other words, it was quite a busy day for the budding director.

13 years earlier, she had her international breakthrough as the video game heroine Lara Croft in the 2001 action-adventure film Lara Croft: Tomb Raider.
Filming took place from July 30 to November 30, 2000, when she was 25 years old. Born on June 4, 1975, she turned 26 on June 4, 2001, just days before the movie was released on June 15, 2001.

Preparing for the movie by learning an English accent, she also underwent extensive martial arts training to play the archaeologist-adventurer Lara Croft.
“C’mon, I’m not so flat-chested to begin with. When I wear a tight T-shirt, I look a certain way. So it wasn’t like we had to completely change me. You know, we just had to enhance me a little,” she said about enhancing her boobs with a padded bra in a June 2001 interview with Prairie Miller of the online magazine NY Rock.

“I’m a 36C. Lara, she’s a 36D. And in the game, she’s a double D, so we took her down some. But we did give her a bit of padding there. For me, it was simply one size. So it was like having a padded bra. But no, I am not flat chested anyway. […] But we did want to put in something for those hardcore game fans.”
“Lara has those big breasts in the game. We didn’t want to make them as big as in the game, but at the same time we didn’t want to take away from her the things that are, you know, her trademarks,” Jolie added.

In 2013, Jolie had both her breasts removed and reconstructed because she has a mutation in a gene called BRCA1 which increases the risk of breast and ovarian cancers. Two years later, she also had her ovaries removed.
“I did not do this solely because I carry the BRCA1 gene mutation,” Jolie explained in her New York Times essay about removing her ovaries.
Considering the cold weather on the East Coast in December, Angelina was appropriately dressed in a black cotton velvet cape from Saint Laurent featuring a classic collar.

She styled the coat with tailored black trousers, a silk shirt, and gorgeous d’Orsay pointy-toe pumps by Saint Laurent .
