The Workplace was crammed with hilarious moments however there have been some touching and unhappy moments that performed out as nicely. Angela Kinsey recalled one scene that was so heartbreaking it made her actually cry throughout filming.
During the Aug. 11 episode of the Office Ladies podcast, Kinsey and co-host Jenna Fischer broke down The Workplace Season 5 episode “Moroccan Christmas.” Within the episode, Phyllis plans a novel workplace vacation occasion as the top of the Occasion Planning Committee and efficiently bosses Angela round as a result of she is aware of Angela and Dwight are having an affair.
Angela hits her breaking level with all of Phyllis’ calls for and tells her off, however Phyllis retaliates by revealing Angela’s affair with Dwight to the entire workplace. Angela’s fiancé Andy is available in after Phyllis spills the beans so he’s clueless in regards to the affair.
“I thought Phyllis and I really had this perfect chemistry in this moment,” Kinsey shared. “And then she tells everyone and she shames Angela Martin in front of the whole bullpen. And when she did, I was so in the moment with her, I felt the heat of my skin, like my face started to flush.”
The second left Kinsey in tears in actual life. Andy enters the workplace bullpen and sings “Deck the Halls” whereas enjoying the sitar as everybody appears surprised by the information Phyllis simply dropped on the room.
“They thought it would be funny, the juxtaposition of this sort of very cringey moment for Andy to be playing this upbeat song,” Kinsey defined.
The scene left Kinsey with a number of real-life emotions. “We’re all just staring at him. And Ed [Helms] played the moment so perfectly. My heart completely broke for Andy,” she defined. “I felt so bad for him and I started to cry.”
She continued, “Yeah, I actually cry. If you look at this, it pushes in on my face and I’m completely tearing up.”
Fischer confirmed that typically actors actually really feel feelings deeply throughout a scene. “Those are those moments as an actor where you have so inhabited your character’s story and the story of the people around you, where your body, like you didn’t even have to make yourself cry or think of something sad,” she defined. “You were just so in the moment that the emotions just flood.”
Fischer additional defined that director Paul Feig needed the actors to have actual reactions within the second. He instructed them, “I don’t want you to comment on it with — you know, no kind of funny looks or anything — like this is like truly a human moment. And just stand there. Just be in it.”
“It was great direction,” Fischer shared.
Kinsey stated that the realness of the second had her feeling emotional. “It felt really heavy. And I felt horrible. And I started to cry,” she defined. “You know, in rewatching it all, I just thought this episode was written and directed and acted so, so well. I was really proud of us as a show.”

Angela and her husband, Josh, sat down to chat with Roselyn Sanchez about “Blacked Out,” a short film written by Angela and directed by Andrés Anglade. The short film will be showing at Puerto Rico’s Rincón International Film Festival on Sunday, April 2.
A she said/he said recounting of a city-wide blackout in Los Angeles. For her it was a romantic night that brought people together. For him the night had danger at every turn.

Demonstrating that life is what happens while you’re busy planning your future, Carson recounts the last few weeks of his life via witty, insightful flashbacks, including a blackmail scheme targeting the popular kids in school that he concocts with his best friend (Rebel Wilson, Pitch Perfect ) and a home life that includes a mother (Allison Janney, Juno , “The West Wing”) who’s more interested in the bottle than her son’s future and an estranged father (Dermot Mulroney, My Best Friend’s Wedding ) who suddenly appears with a pregnant fiancée (Christina Hendricks, “Mad Men”).
A special theatrical event will be held Jan. 6, 2013, the same night as the film’s red-carpet premiere.

Christina Hendricks, Dermot Mulroney and Sarah Hyland have joined the cast of coming-of-age comedy ”Struck by Lightning” opposite Chris Colfer and Allison Janney.
Shooting began this week on the indie project, with Brian Dannelly directing from Colfer’s script.
Supporting cast includes Angela Kinsey, Allie Grant, Ashley Rickards, Polly Bergen, Brad Henke, Robbie Amell and Carter Jenkins.
Story opens with Colfer’s character being struck and killed by a bolt of lightning and is told in flashback. It chronicles his exploits as he blackmails his fellow senior classmates into contributing to a literary magazine he’s publishing.
As mentioned in an earlier post , Angela will be starring in ‘Furry Vengeance’ this upcoming year. A trailer has been released for the movie! You can watch it below. Looks like a fun movie!

The film will also star Brooke Shields, Ken Jeong and Matt Prokop (some of you might remember him in ‘The Office’ episode, Cocktails, from season 3).
Scenes were filmed this week in Topsfield, Massachusetts.
Release date is set for April 2, 2010.

When we last checked in with Magic City , the Starz organized crime drama was having trouble finding actresses with real boobs . You see, the show is set in 1950s Miami, before the age of artificially-enhanced breasts, so when producers were running around present-day Miami looking for period appropriate women they could feature on the show, they had just a heckuva time. “Where have all the real boobs gone?” I imagine they sung to the tune of Paula Cole’s 1997 single “Where Have All the Cowboys Gone?,” while strumming an out of tune acoustic guitar and emptying out the minibar in their beachfront hotel after another fruitless day of staring at huge fake breasts like a martyr or something.
Well apparently all that hard work paid off, because noted corny schtick enthusiast Mr. Skin announced the winners of the 14th Annual Anatomy Awards this week , and Magic City beat out stiff competition like Game of Thrones and Shameless to take home the coveted prize. “Emmy Schmemmy,” producers probably said as they continued flipping through a six-inch thick binder full of pictures of attractive people in their underwear. “This is what matters.”
And so we congratulate you, Magic City . Your unwavering diligence and commitment to your craft is truly something from which we can all learn.
