For the third stage, slowly insert more of your finger inside your anal canal.
While you can’t force your internal sphincter to relax, it will do so if you use a special breathing technique: Inhale deeply through your mouth for two seconds, taking in as much air as possible. Then, slowly exhale through your nose , counting to five seconds as you do.
Repeat this five times and you should feel the pressure lessening around your finger, a sign that your internal sphincter muscles are starting to relax.
Your internal sphincter muscles aren’t under voluntary control and take time to relax, so GO SLOW! This is the most important stage of training : if you rush this stage or try to insert something too large before you are ready, you can do yourself serious, sometimes irreversible, damage.
