An attempt to smuggle codeine has been stopped.

The border police found a batch of tablets containing codeine in the possession of a 32-year-old Ukrainian citizen. The man was traveling as a passenger on a regular bus on the Chisinau — Poznan route.

During the check, it turned out that the foreigner did not have a prescription from a doctor and documents on the origin of medicines. The narcotic substance was seized and sent for examination.
