An applied seminar on “Developing Spatial and Master Plans Based on the Economic Development Strategy” is ongoing


The second day of the seminar began with an engaging roundtable discussion, Q&A session, and exchanges of views among project office staff, local project organizations, and international experts, focusing on studying advanced international practices and their application in Uzbekistan.

During the seminar, World Bank expert  Anirudh Rajashekar delivered a presentation on climate resilience and the importance of green spaces in spatial planning and the development of master plans.

In the afternoon, Türkiye’s PAL company provided detailed insights into the process of developing the master plan for the Olmazor KSZ and adjacent areas, including its methodology and the introduction of new mechanisms based on modern approaches.

In addition, the “Livable and Sustainable Cities in Uzbekistan” program, implemented in cooperation with the World Bank, was presented. The scope and necessity of the project, the importance of spatial-territorial planning, as well as the PforR financing mechanism and its requirements were explained in detail.
