Among the ancient Eastern European cities with echoing pavement and ancient squares
Among the ancient Eastern European cities with echoing pavement and ancient squares (and there are enough of them on the map), we vote for Prague. It is known as the “city of a thousand spiers” due to the abundance of beautifully preserved historical monuments. Whatever era you take - almost everyone has their own “illustration”. These spiers are best admired from bridges crossing the Vltava River (especially from the charming Charles Bridge), or standing on the stunning Old Town Square. Atmospheric streets, long paved with cobblestones, delight those who dream of fairy tales. In fairness, for example, Prague is similar in architecture to other Czech cities or its foreign neighbors - Krakow, Budapest, Lviv. So the choice is yours!
