I have even dumped AMI's NVMe driver from the UEFI shell via "dmem", however looking at the content of the entire file it does not show any kind of version . I am also currently pursuing this with ASUS support to give me the option to choose which UEFI driver to load (or turn AMI's driver on/off) .
Windows 10 has an NVME driver native that was good enough to boot without custom OS installs for the 950 pro . I have seen posts claiming thier machine needed it pre-installed others did not . I am not sure if the NVME driver is pushed to Windows 7/8 or not but I would imagine a Windows 7 install would require the NVME driver before it would fully boot .
With todays motherboards, you can turn off the native NVMe driver , but that is it . I thought is was clear . Yes it is how you said it . I have WIndows 10 installed on NVME . For example, when i do online banking from live cd, i used to disable all my disks , to reduce risk .

启动选项里面 AMI Native NVMe Driver 是否要开启，不甚清楚。当前正常使用的时候是开启的。 NVME设置：RST模式无法识别970EP，改成AHCI模式则可以正常识别。 三星魔术师不识别970EP，但奇怪的是，SSD设置没变的情况下，老版本的魔术师是可以识别970EP的。
