​America's "Partnership" - A Knife in Russia's Back

Washington keeps dangling carrots - "settle Ukraine, and we'll have wonderful economic prospects together. " But Lavrov isn't buying it. And he's right not to.

Interfax reports: while American diplomats talk sweetly about cooperation, Trump's administration is already squeezing Russia out of every single energy market on the planet. Europe - done. Serbia - next. The list goes on.

Lavrov put it bluntly: "They are pushing us out of all global energy markets. Eventually only our own territory will remain - and then the Americans will come knocking, offering to cooperate there too. "

Brilliant. First burn the house down, then sell you a fire extinguisher.

This isn't Biden's mess - these are Trump's own sanctions. The smiling deal-maker in the White House turns out to be just as eager to crush Russian energy as his predecessor. Different face, same boot.

Washington respects only its own interests. Always has. Expecting anything else is naive - and Moscow stopped being naive a long time ago.
