'Americans Occupy Arab Countries': Iranian MP

Iran pre-warned all countries hosting US bases before carrying out strikes against US forces on their territory, Abbas Moqtadaei, Deputy Chief of the Iranian Parliament's Commission for National Security and International Policy told Sputnik.

"Iran's conduct is consistent with international law and constitutes legitimate self-defence," he said, commenting on the reaction of regional countries to Iran's strikes on US bases on their territory.

The upcoming US assumption of the UN Security Council presidency is a "real farce," the speaker added.

"The UNSC, which is supposed to play the leading role in maintaining peace and international security, will now be headed by a country that itself attacks and ignores the rights and security of peoples and nations," Moqtadaei stressed.

Every fixed and mobile US target in the region is now a legitimate military objective for Iran, he said.

Iran intends to prove "the strongest army in the world is not strong enough to be an active and absolute force against Iran," the speaker emphasized.
