For a plain, fat chick with limited career prospects post Ugly Betty (which is fading fast), she certainly carries a lot of attitude. First, completely unprofessional conduct in her interview with Blake Lively, attitude at the Emmy's, and now she made me actually feel sorry for Lindsay Lohan. I've worked with her, and I love her. I didn't get any "diva" attitude from her, just a straightforward, plow-ahead, let's get this done professionalism.
Ferrara may be fat by DL standards, but she is "fattened" for the show. She wears padding under her clothes.
Considering that she's chunky, average-looking and latina, I think she's doing pretty well for herself, OP. She must have something pretty special to overcome all that (though with the growing latino population in the U.S., that element may actually be a plus for her instead of a detriment).

I admire her, although I think she's overrated as an actress. She's good, and has created a great character, but she's not omg spectacular and does sometimes hit a dud note, especially next to Vanessa Williams and Eric Mabius, who are pitch perfect and can be surprisingly subtle. Her pivotal scene in the pilot (where she gives the "you have no idea how hard it is trying to pay rent and take care of a sick parent" speech) was one of the worst line readings I've seen on the show. I can see her being a diva in terms of being a perfectionist.

AF has a rep for being not so nice, although the consensus seems to be it's because she's a perfectionist and is probably shy/fed up with everyone wanting a piece of her. Which is fair enough. I know a lot of people, though, who have met her at fan and other events or have been extras who said she was unecessarily rude. I have heard/read diva stories a lot of places, going back a long way (some I'm pretty sure are BS, but they say no smoke without fire). I don't dislike her but I'm not on the love train.
I don't give a shit about Lindsay. It's crazy someone can fuck up and be given so many chances. If she has potential let her go away and do fringe theatre or something. If she can stay out of trouble and focus on actually acting and not being a celebrity for a few years, then maybe she'll have earned a second chance. Whatever else, AF is clearly professional and dedicated and does a good job. She deserves her success. Extras: It seemed like EM was stiff and kind of ignoring her. Just tense body language with her. He flinched visibly when she jumped at him (as a joke). AF does come across as far nicer and goofier that her rep, although she makes some sharp comments when others screw up. (Becki Newton on the other hand - just a small hop on the Kinsey scale and I'd want to marry her.)
