So the deal is, I've recently become obsessed with the feet of my friend's wife.
She unfortunately hates feet and her feet as well, it saddens me when she says things to that effect. To be honest her feet are not super amazing compared to some of the others I've seen on this site, she does however take care of them and paints her toenails regularly which are often black (not a bad look on her if you ask me). So when I go to visit it's always a treat to see her walking around barefoot. Unfortunately with it being winter, I haven't seen her cute little toes in quite a while...curse you cold weather, however just the other night when I stopped by, the unbelievable happened. She slipped off her socks! Now I'll admit, I have taken some candid shots hers and other women's feet before which is something I know a lot of people take issue with and rightfully so, it's something I plan on quitting eventually. I did take a few of hers that night as well. Of course I would never cross the line and do anything with her behind my friend's back, but I do enjoy admiring the simple beauty of her feet from a distance.

SZ most soles look rather nice, the making or breaking of a foot is the tops view, particularly the toes.
It's normal for her as a woman to hate feet, even her own. Don't hold that against her. Probably her husband doesn't even notice her feet so she has no foot awareness. @philgill11 I have a very similar situation to what the OP described although the lady doesn't paint her nails (doesn't need to, her feet are beautiful anyway and very big) but I certainly do try to do as you mention and find ways to go and see her feet. I also have the same problem that she very often covers them with socks.

Given that she took off her socks during this time of year and it being difficult to get away with taking that many pictures of her feet without her noticing I'm guessing she knows about your attitudes regarding feet and maybe even hers in particular? And your wife knows about both as well?

So my wife and I decided to obtain a quote for having some work done to our house this past summer. She’s aware of the foot fetish because of me, of course! Hi. I have been married to my high school sweetheart for 19 yrs. Never once had an affair. We have 3 children. I have developed over the years a love for her feet. She is totally aware and is "into it". Dont get me wrong, I love her whole body, but her feet come first. At the risk of putting my foot in my mouth (ba dump dump! cymbal crash!), I think it's kind of weird too. .. but it's not too overboard.
I think the weirdness as compared to boobs, vagina's, and butts turning a guy on is those are "sexual maturity/readyness" cues. .. you see a woman's body and you want to mate with it.
I can't judge if a mate is suitable by looking at her feet.
But as far as fetishes go, this one is pretty harmless, I think.

Here is an example of a celebrity wedding photo where bare feet are intentionally shown. this is a picture i remember from when i was younger. She could have just as easily had on shoes, as most brides do, but i think the photographer made a conscience decision to do it barefoot because it adds a cuteness to the picture.
