I absolutely LOVE, LOVE, LOVE this book and EVERYTHING about the story of a rookie officer named, Suzie Ivy!! I'm literally excited to write this review because I not only enjoyed reading it so much, but I want other readers to see my review so they too can get excited about reading such a well written, informative and laugh out loud moments of a book. As far as I'm concerned, to start a career as a police officer at 45 years of age is commendable and brave, but add on the fact that Suzie Ivy is the only woman on Small Town's police force so she's basically engulfed in nothing but testosterone and handles everything thrown her way, as well as learning, including a HUGE beefalo/bull, a man who likes to sit in the middle of the road holding a very large rock and what I can only imagine to be a very scary and mean old lady in Marie Lloyd, just to name a few, makes the beginnings of a lot of fun and exciting stories/books that I am thoroughly looking forward to reading. I've always enjoyed Mysteries and when you can find an author that also adds humor to the Mystery, especially when you enjoy laughing like I do, just as much as the suspense, I personally consider that a major bonus! Thank you, Suzie Ivy for writing such a GREAT Book One.
The writer did great on these books they were well written, very informative & a lot of true things that happens in the life of a officer. Thanks to the writer, I read all three books & 5 stars in all of them. Waiting on others. Roy
Enjoyed reading a about Suzie Ivy. She has decided to become a police officer. She is hired at Small Town USA. She is the rookie so they test her. She has a lot to learn.
Fantastic read! In later life (not old but older than normal) becoming a cop. Seems like a great challenge and she has good people to help train her along her way. A definite must read
I like interesting well written mysteries without a lot of graphic gory detail. It helps that this gave me some chuckles and held my attention throughout and was a fun way to spend the evening.
You can’t help but cheer for this mom and former book store owner now turned cop of Small Town. Looking forward to book 2.
