Amanda Bynes is denying posting an alleged nude photo of her in a bathtub ... she says she's not the one in the pic, nor is she the person running the Twitter account that put it up.
Amanda tells TMZ she never takes nude photographs like the one circulating the Internet purporting to be her, and she's never had a connection to the Twitter page where it first popped up.
Amanda’s attorney, Tamar Arminak , tells TMZ … Amanda is NOT the naked woman in the photograph posted this week on Twitter, and AB's legal team has been trying for years to get Twitter to get the account in question taken down, to no avail.
Her attorney claims Twitter's refused repeated requests to deactivate the account, which uses the handle @PersianLa27, and says Twitter's refusal rests on their position the account is a celebrity parody page.
Amanda's lawyers tell us they even tried to use her former conservatorship as a catalyst for Twitter taking down the attack ... but the bird app didn't budge.
And, get this ... Amanda's attorney tells us, "There's nothing funny about what she was going through mental health-wise and the fact Twitter thought it was appropriate to keep a parody account mocking what she was going through is disgusting."

She claimed that it was a case of mistaken identity when pictures of herself partying in her Big Apple apartment recently surfaced in In Touch magazine.
But in the snaps, it is clear that is in fact Amanda Bynes throwing what appears to be an impromptu party for three earlier this month.
In the shocking party photos, Amanda is seen reclining on her bed which is stripped down to a bare mattress with no sheets or other bedding.

With her sunglasses shielding her eyes, her hair extensions in a tattered mess and smeared make-up on her face, Amanda appears to be emulating Madonna's famous 'Vogue' pose.
Roll-up: The men who took the pictures say Amanda was smoking joints all night
Barefoot, she wears a sheer cream dress that exposes her black bra teamed with a denim and leather jacket.
Later she is seen hazily sitting up, letting the photographer take her picture as she pushes her hair away from her chest.
An open can of Diet Coke with a straw sitting in it sits beside her bed and a half burnt joint that is blackened with soot is laying on the bed next to her after she has seemingly taken a hit.
Next up Amanda takes the photo shoot to the bathroom where she is seen preening and pouting in the mirror.
Hardly aware of what is going on around her, one of her male party guests gets physically close to her, seemingly kissing her on the arm.
He later does a little dance in the mirror as she continues to apply heavy layers of lip gloss to her pout.
The man in question, who would go only go by the name of 'Joe', is one of the men who provided the pictures to In Touch.
Is she with it? Amanda appears disorientated and does her best attempt at recreating Madonna's Vogue pose
Notice the corner: From another angle of Amanda laying on the mattress, something more revealing can be seen in the corner of the room...
Heels and a baggie: In the corner of the room were spiked white heels and what appeared to be an empty baggie of some kind
He and a photographer by the name of Giovanni Arnold were partying with Amanda on the night the snaps in question were taken.
Since their emergence, Amanda has jumped to her own defense, tweeting:'That’s not my bed! Those aren’t my toes! My toes are pedicured!'
But in the snaps it is clear that it is the former child star.

The two men say they witnessed Amanda smoke marijuana as she sat on top of a bare mattress in her bedroom.
In the photographs, Amanda's Big Apple abode, which they describe as 'filthy', is also littered with rubbish and take-out containers and with windows that have been blacked out with spray paint.
The two men also claim that they saw empty drug baggies strewn on the floor.
'Weed was everywhere,' Giovanni told the magazine. 'On the bed, all over the floor.'
Denial: Amanda has since denied that it is her in the controversial snaps
'She probably gets so high that sometimes she won't even leave her house,' he added.
'One minute she's cool and down-to-earth,' 'Joe' added to the magazine. 'The next, she's totally different - indecisive and she can't hold a conversation. Mentally, she is all over the place.'
'She'll smoke a joint halfway and then put it out and light a new one. Then she'll relight the half,' 'Joe' told the magazine.
The two men also said they witnessed Amanda on several outings with pre-rolled joints and claimed that she had a stockpile of the drug in her apartment.
In hot water: Amanda was arrested last week in New York after allegedly being caught smoking marijuana and then throwing a bong out of the window of her apartment
Hitting back: But Amanda denied the reports and claimed that the police sexually harassed her
Giovanni also claims he saw her do cocaine during their time in the apartment.
But when questioned by In Touch about the alleged drug use, Amanda strenuously denied the pair's story.
