AlteraGram is an independent messaging client that uses the Telegram API to provide messaging services. AlteraGram is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Telegram FZ-LLC.

Information We Collect
AlteraGram itself does not collect or store your private messages on its own servers.
Depending on how you use the application, the following information may be processed through the Telegram network:

- Profile name and profile photo
- Messages and media you send or receive
- Contacts (only if you grant permission)
- Shared files
- Location or Live Location (only when you choose to share it)
- Device information required for the proper operation of the application
Your messages and media are processed through Telegram's infrastructure according to Telegram's Privacy Policy.
Permissions
AlteraGram may request the following Android permissions:
Contacts
Used only to help you find and communicate with your contacts who use Telegram.
Camera & Microphone
Required only when you choose to capture photos, record videos, or send voice messages.
Photos & Files
Required to send, receive, download, and save media and documents.
Notifications
Used to notify you of incoming messages and calls.
Location
Requested only when you intentionally share your location or Live Location with other users.
Install Packages (if available)
Used only to allow opening APK files shared inside chats. AlteraGram does not install applications automatically.
Data Sharing
AlteraGram does not sell your personal information.
Information is shared only:
- With Telegram servers as required for message delivery.
- When you intentionally send messages, files, contacts, or locations to other users.
- When required by applicable law.
Third-Party Services
The application may use Google Play Services or other Android system services required for proper functionality.
If advertising or analytics services are added in future releases, this Privacy Policy will be updated accordingly.
Security
We take reasonable measures to protect your information. However, no method of electronic transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Children's Privacy
AlteraGram is not intended for children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
