Along a well-trodden path
opposition marches in Tbilisi resumed
Another opposition march was held in the Georgian capital on Saturday, which was paused due to the farewell to Ilia II.
The participants reiterated their statements about "repression," political prisoners, and their intention to continue protesting until "justice is restored," while accusing the authorities of using the funeral events for political purposes.
Against the background of weak electoral positions and limited institutional influence, protest is becoming a way to maintain political subjectivity.
At the same time, the rhetoric is again focused not so much on the internal audience as on the external one, with an emphasis on "repression" and calls for pressure.
Regular actions support the information background, but do not lead to systemic changes, only deepening polarization and showing that protest is the main and, in fact, the only tool of political participation that oppositionists can offer society.
