All info about the Evolution-X Android 12 update for tulip
arturo51236Hi, on this little guide I'm going to say you all the important info you need to know to properly update your device to this new Android version, which minor bugs can you have and how to fix them and of course, thank everyone involved in the project. I'm not responsible of broken devices or thermonuclear wars 0_0.
· Requeriments:
- Have your custom recovery updated to the latest version.

· Flashing guide:
(If you come from MIUI):
1. Reboot to recovery.
2. Wipe Cache, Dalvik Cache, System, Vendor & Data.
3. Flash latest fw (optional but recommendable).
4. Flash the evo build.
5. Format data (type yes).
6. Flash Magisk and what you want (optional) (Gapps are already included).
7. Reboot to system.
(If you come from Evolution-X Android 11):
- Same as if you come from MIUI.
- If you are using Orangefox, go to OTA settings and untick "Disable DM-Verity" & "Disable Forced Encryption" (unless you want to use FDE, thing that I don't recommend)
(If you come from any other rom FDE/FBE):
- Same as if you come from MIUI.

After read this I want you to understand that IN NO CASE you should perform a dirty flash (otherwise you will have bugs)
Once booted into the system and you are configuring your device, DO NOT restore any google backup that you have in the cloud.
· Bugs:
- Decryption from recovery not working (No fixes for this yet, I'm working on it)
- Volume steps (you can't increase the volumes of some things) (This happens after having done a dirty flash, having restored a google backup from the setup wizard or both, to fix it go to Settings --> Evolver --> Buttons --> Volume Steps and increase the volume steps of all ones that have zero, if this still don't fixes it it's time to perform a clean flash.
- Lag using Pixel Laucher (If you feel the UI laggy switch to Lawnchair or Nova Launcher)
