What is LoL MSI?
The League of Legends Mid-Season Invitational (MSI) is an annual tournament in the world of sports, held after the first part of the regular season. We at BoostRoyal we would like you to be aware What to Expect from the 2021 MSI of League of Legends.
All the regional champion teams during the season automatically qualify for a slot at the LoL MSI for a chance to win the base prize pool, as well as an additional team slot for their region at the 2021 World Championship (Worlds).
MSI Format
The MSI 2021 format has three stages that are the Stages for Group Stage and Rumble Stage. And the Knockout Stage. Teams have been divided into three groups based on their seeding during the Group Stage. All matches will be played in best-of-one format (BO1) which means that the two teams with the highest scores advance to the Rumble Stage.
The Rumble Stage is the first stage of this year's MSI. It's a double-round robin format, with matches also being played in best-of-1 format. Four teams are able to make it to the Knockout stage.
The Knockout Stage basically consists of the MSI Semifinals or Finals. Every mistake could spell disaster for the teams that remain since this stage will be played in one elimination format, and matches will be played in best-of-5s.
In the past MSIs, only teams selected were allowed to play in the Play-In stage. Riot Games has changed the MSI 2021 format so that all teams are on the same stage prior to the time of the tournament's start.
LoL MSI 2021 patch
The LoL MSI 2021 will be played under the League of Legends patch 11.9, with Lulu predicted to transform into multi-flex champion, according to Nick "LS" De Cesare's patch rundown. In the LoL MSI 2021 patch, Gwen and Viego were disqualified.

Due to travel restrictions for nationals due to travel restrictions, the VCS (Vietnam) champions GAM Esports will not be allowed to participate in MSI. Group A will play in the same format, which means that the top two teams will advance to the next stage.

The MSI 2021 prize pool

The MSI 2021 champions will receive an additional slot in their region to compete at Worlds 2021, happening later this year on November 6, in Shenzhen, China. But, with the MSI competition moving on with 11 qualifying teams, Riot Games has confirmed that the MSI winner will be given an additional regional team slot for their league in 2021's World Championship.
Following MSI, Riot will be formulating the final power rankings in 2021. Riot will award the league with the highest ranking with an extra Worlds slot. If the top league happens to win MSI, the extra slot will go to the second-highest-ranking league.
