I'm one for the old college try but some things just don't always work out the way you'd like, this sounds like one that he's going to have to compromise on.

I hope your boyfriend appreciates your efforts, not everyone can deep throat or even get in as much as you did because of the gag reflex. If you boyfriend is larger than you can comfortably accommodate, that's going to be a problem too. There are plenty of web sites that discuss the mechanics of it and maybe you'll find some tips there.

Personally I wouldn't want my girlfriend to have a sore throat just so I could get off.

I agree with marc877. While it is something that men normally like, he should appreciate the effort you've made and take what he can get. I love my wife, and she can't do it either, but she tries like hell and likes to make up for it in other ways. That speaks volumes. If he's into you and cares enough about you, it shouldn't matter.

Tell him to change his diet. My female friends tell me the taste of semen is influenced by the guy's diet. As far as I know, there are no real medical concerns to deepthroating your boyfriend. I would guess that as long as you're not trying to inhale as he ejaculates you should be fine. Also, common sense should tell you that if something feels wrong, it probably is.
