Ioan Gruffudd accused his estranged wife, Alice Evans, of verbally abusing him throughout their 14-year marriage, claiming in new court docs that she mocked his hair loss and told him he had “saggy-vagina eyes.”
The “Titanic” actor also claimed in custody documents, obtained by the Daily Mail , that Evans “belittled” and “berated” him in front of their daughters, Ella, 12, and Elsie, 8.
“Alice told me regularly, and in front of the children, that she wanted a divorce, that I was stupid and a failure, and that she would call the police if I did not do what she demanded,” Gruffudd, 48, alleged in the docs.
The “Fantastic Four” actor filed a request with the Los Angeles Superior Court this week for joint custody of his daughters, arguing that the “Vampire Diaries” actress had “verbally abused and undermined me in front of the girls throughout their lives” and that he wants some sort of “stipulation for custody and therapy orders.”
Gruffudd, who filed for divorce in March 2021, claimed that since moving out of their home in January 2021 , Evans, 53, “has inflicted serious emotional harm on Ella and Elsie by her statements and by interfering in my relationship with them.”
He also alleged that since moving out, Evans “encouraged and instructed them not to see me or communicate with me,” and because of that, he hasn’t spent quality in-person time with his daughters — despite him claiming he was the primary caretaker during their marriage — since July 2021.
The actor accused the “Originals” actress of telling their daughter that he told Evans to “commit suicide,” and that she “would not have a mummy anymore.”
“Ella told me, ‘Daddy this is making me very sad,’ and, ‘if I don’t agree with her, apparently I am a bad daughter,'” Gruffudd claimed in the documents.
Evans responded to the papers via her Instagram, calling her ex “disgusting.”
“Witch-hunt,” she began in her Instagram caption on Wednesday. “He has refused to see them for over a year. I am sickened to the point of breaking down … You are disgusting.”
The former couple’s latest court battle comes five months after Gruffudd filed for a restraining order against his estranged wife.
“Alice threatened to tell people I had abused her and our daughters,” his petition read. “Threatened to call the police on me if I did not comply with her demands … threatened to tell people I am a drug addict and put me in prison … threatened to write a fake diary that reflected an abused victim, and to have the diary published; and … threatened to destroy my mother.”
The ex-couple, who wed in 2007, have had quite the tumultuous and bitter divorce battle.
Evans first announced their separation by tweeting that Gruffudd was going to “leave his family” and claimed that he said he was doing so because he “no longer loves me.”
“I never thought this would happen to us,” Evans wrote in a since-deleted Instagram post from February 2021. “I am still fighting against it, because I love our kids, and I still love him, but something has happened inside his head and whatever it is, I don’t see him coming back to us.”
Meanwhile, Gruffudd began dating girlfriend Bianca Wallace — who Evans claimed was her friend — shortly after the split. In October 2021, Evans accused the two of a three-year affair behind her back.
“So it turns out that my husband, after two years of telling me I’m a bad person and I’m not exciting and he no longer want so to have sex with me and he just wants to be on set abroad…Has been in a relationship for THREE years behind all our backs,” Evans wrote in a since-deleted tweet.
In February 2022, Evans filed for both physical and legal custody of the girls as well as spousal support.

The first Nevermore Alice Artcard set produced by UnpleasantDreams cards

Nevermore Alice began as an artcard set where artists from around the world drew original artist sketchcards which were packed with beutiful basecards and sold in packs to collectors. Alice was seen in both her wonderland dress and space adventurer uniform as she discoverd the country of Wonderland in the world of nevermore. Alice met the Cheshire cat, the MadHatter and Teamouse, the Tweedles along with the White Rabbit and his bunnygirl spacehoppers. There were villians as well, the scary Heart eaters and the ever hungry Walrus and the Carpentor who set their sights on devouring Alice.

NAWinterSolstice explored Winter time in wonderland and the world of Nevermore as Alice and her new freinds got snowed on, Alice got dressed up in a new festive outfit and many many snowballs were thrown.

Unpleasant Dreams Cards brings you Nevermore Alice, an original, dark and some what sexy new take on the classic story of Alice and her adventures in Wonderland. Produced as a series of high quality hand drawn Art Card sets, each set will take you deeper into Wonderland where you will meet familiar characters with new distinctive designs creating a unique world for you to enjoy and explore by collecting these original pieces of fantastic artwork.
Alice was the pilot of a space cruiser called The TwineWeaver. The 3 rd Ecumentalist British Empire sent her to explore the reason a Deep Space Station (The BitterTestimont) had stopped communicating. There she discovered the Space Station had vanished and a massive White Rabbit Star ship arriving to a large swirling vortex instead of the missing Space Station… The size of the White Rabbit ship (called Dennis) threw Alice’s own ship off course allowing the Wormhole to suck her in. The TwineWeaver was shaken apart and became lost in the abyss; Alice had no choice but to climb into an escape Pod and tumble down the Celestial Rabbit Hole and crash land inside where she discovered she was inside a World Tree.
Discovering a small waiting room made of twisted roots with a sealed hand carved door in the shape of an oak leaf the only exit visible, Alice picked up one of the sixteen blue dresses that were hung in the corner and got dressed quickly. Making her way down to the door and stepping through, Alice found herself in the country of Wonderland and the World of Nevermore. Her adventures had just begun.
Each Series consists of Hand drawn Art Cards by top artists from around the world and printed Artwork cards called Base Cards.
The story of Nevermore Alice continues through each set which people can collect by purchasing packs when they come on sale on this website.
Nevermore Alice is an epic tale through the Lands of Nevermore told via Original Hand Drawn Art Cards, High Quality printed Base cards as well as other goodies.
The main heroine is Alice, a 22 year old Space Pilot working for the 3rd Ecumentalist British Empire, an intergalactic Peacekeeping force made of many races. She sent to investigate a missing space station , the Bitter Testiment. There is no sign of the station and before she can leave a giant star ship shaped like a white Rabbit arrives and a massive Wormhole opens up where the space station was supposed to be. Alice is sucked through the wormhole (remember that rabbit hole in the original novel), her ship is ripped apart around her and she discovers the inside of the wormhole is the inside of a massive ancient Oak tree with remnants of various worlds and places stuck in its bark. Alice is swarmed by Book Moths, tiny creatures with tattered book pages as wings which eat her uniform clean off her and after many hours of falling, Alice can not help but fall asleep.
She awakes on a broad glass table. Below, Alice can see the floor and across the table she spots the White Rabbits Star Ship and a hanger full of little blue dresses, white aprons and stockings. Having no uniform anymore, Alice quickly takes a dress and works out how to climb down off the table as she can spot a small door in the shape of an Oak Leaf in the tree’s bark. After a misadventure with a bottle and biscuit saying Eat Me and Drink me, Alice grips the door handle and steps outside into the country of Wonderland and the world of Nevermore…
Nevermore Alice stands out because of its unique take on the classic story as well as the beautiful new character designs by series creator Boo and the top talent drawing each and every Art card which collectors can collect.
Every series expands the story and cast and we learn a little more about Wonderland and Nevermore by enjoying the artwork produced for each set.
2012 Nevermore Alice One – SOLD OUT
Having been sucked through a space Wormhole caused by the White Rabbits Star ship and his crew of Space Hoppers (bunny girls), Alice arrives in the country of Wonderland and meets her strange friends for the first time, the Mad Hatter & Tea Mouse, the Cheshire Cat and the cheeky Tweedles. The Cheshire Cat’s colour changes depending on which mood he is in and his moods flip faster than he can turn invisible. But Alice soon discovers Wonderlands dangers in the form of the Red Queens Sinister Heart Eaters, Ghoulish Cards who wander Wonderland devouring the hearts of anyone unfortunate enough to cross their path and the twisted duo the Walrus and the Carpenter who fancy taking a bite out of Alice.
With High Quality Base cards and mind-bending hand drawn Art cards drawn by fantastic artists from around the world, Nevermore Alice One was a success sell-out in less than two days of its release. Each card explored Alice/s first adventures in Nevermore. Each pack contained 1 hand drawn Art card and 2 Base cards and there were 10 exciting base cards in total.
2011 Nevermore Alice Winter Solstice – SOLD OUT
Alice and her friends explore the country of Wonderland as the wild winters wisp through the trees and cover the land in fresh snow. This mini festive edition arrived on Christmas 2011 granting collectors their first glimpse into the world of Nevermore with 4 Base cards and Art Cards drawn by the series creator Boo. Alice also gained a new festive Winter Clothing redesign for the set.
2012 Nevermore Alice Flux – SOLD OUT
Discover more about Alice’s adventures in space before she was sucked into the world of Nevermore with this prequel set to Nevermore Alice One. Alice and her old allies Ugg, Bark, Dorathy and Toto battled Space Aliens trying to take over the universe, suns exploding; Tentacles grabbing everything in sight… Alice is flying around in the depths of the galaxy in her space ship The TwineWeaver confronting the Terrivian Hordes, the Caradorme Abyss or even the Fall of Pangaea!!!
This set expanded the world of Nevermore Alice by exploring the universe Alice came from before being sucked into Wonderland and also features the first appearance of Dorathy and Toto who will be appearing in later NA Art card series. With 10 sci-fi base cards and hand drawn art cards we also produced and sold Master Sets due to collector demand which included bonus items and came in a beautiful wooden box which inspired the feel of Nevermore.
2013 Nevermore Alice Eat Me Drink Me – SOLD OUT
NA Eat Me Drink Me will be a 100 pack special edition set having fun with the idea of Alice and her friends miss-adventures growing large and shrinking small from eating and drinking the wrong things, not to mention it will be the last time collectors can enjoy the regular character designs.
