Alice is an easy to use virtual environment creation and animation tool that allows you to craft rich stories.
Alice is an innovative block-based programming environment that makes it easy to create animations, build interactive narratives, or program simple games in 3D. Unlike many of the puzzle-based coding applications Alice motivates learning through creative exploration. Alice is designed to teach logical and computational thinking skills, fundamental principles of programming and to be a first exposure to object-oriented programming. The Alice Project provides supplemental tools and materials for teaching using Alice across a spectrum of ages and subject matter with proven benefits in engaging and retaining diverse and underserved groups in computer science education.
Alice 3 has all of the features that have made Alice an exciting and creative first programming experience with an added emphasis on object-oriented concepts.

Alice: Madness Returns является сюжетным продолжением компьютерной игры American McGee’s Alice. В игре рассказывается об Алисе Лидделл (англ. Alice Liddell) — девушке, страдающей от эмоциональной травмы, вызванной гибелью её родителей во время пожара. Алиса выписалась из психиатрической клиники и во время действия игры живёт в приюте для душевно травмированных сирот, на попечении доктора Ангуса Бамби, при этом она продолжает испытывать галлюцинации. Чтобы избавиться от душевной травмы и узнать правду о своём прошлом, девушка вновь попадает в Страну чудес, в которой поселилось новое зло .

Разработка Alice: Madness Returns проходила под непосредственным руководством Американа Макги как генерального директора компании Spicy Horse . Хотя концепция и сюжетная линия игры создавались Макги в сотрудничестве с исполнительным продюсером оригинальной American McGee’s Alice Робертом Джоном Бергом , разработка дизайна и содержания игры была поручена команде художников Spicy Horse под руководством Кена Вонга . Как и в American McGee’s Alice, некоторых главных героев — Алису и Чеширского кота — на английский язык озвучили актёры Сьюзи Брэнн и Роджер Джексон соответственно . Авторами музыкального сопровождения выступили Джейсон Тай и Маршалл Кратчер, а композитор предыдущей игры — Крис Вренна — написал для Alice: Madness Returns лишь одну композицию . В Alice: Madness Returns используется игровой движок Unreal Engine 3.5, а также графическая технология ускорения физических эффектов и повышения реалистичности игрового мира PhysX .

Игра получила как положительные, так и отрицательные отзывы крупных игровых изданий. Позитивную оценку от большинства критиков получил внешний вид уровней и игровых объектов. В качестве негативных моментов были отмечены скучность и затянутость многих моментов игрового процесса .
