Alexis Ren is comfortable in her own skin and she’s not afraid to show it. The model proudly showed off her body following her split from Alan Bersten .
“And her favorite color is,” Ren, 22, captioned a picture of herself wearing nothing but red underwear on Friday, December 7, the same day Us Weekly exclusively revealed her breakup from her Dancing With the Stars partner.
“She’s in Japan working and he’s going on tour in a couple of weeks, but they are still talking and still consider each other friends,” a source told Us . “They aren’t in the same country for a while, which makes a relationship hard, but they are open to whatever the future might hold.”
Ren hinted earlier in the week that she and the professional dancer, 24, had ended their relationship. After an Instagram user asked for an update on the pair’s romance, Ren responded, “feelings aren’t black and white and neither is life. We’re focused on our careers and growing as individuals. He’s an amazing person and I’m grateful he came into my life. He’s on his own journey and I respect that.”
The Instagram star first opened up about her feelings for Bersten on the October 29 episode of the ABC dance competition’s 27th season. An insider later told Us , “Alexis’ feelings for Alan are real! She adores him. Right now, Alan is flattered, but wants to keep it professional while they are still competing on the show.”
The couple kissed for the first time on the following week’s country-themed episode after the choreographer admitted that he was “falling for” his celebrity partner.
“They’re this young couple that have this really, very natural and genuine connection between the two of them, and then we put a camera on them, and I don’t think that they were quite ready for what that is,” DWTS pro Sharna Burgess told Us exclusively on Wednesday, December 5, two days prior to the split news.
She added, “I think it put the spotlight on them just a little bit too much and maybe put a little bit too much pressure on them.”
Bersten and Ren ultimately finished in fourth place on DWTS.

Alexis Ren suffered a mini wardrobe malfunction on week two of Dancing with the Stars .
During Monday’s episode of the reality dance competition series, the model performed a ballet-inspired Argentine Tango to Swan Lake for New York Night with pro partner Alan Bersten.
“This is going to be the first time that I’m doing ballet in like eight years,” Ren, 21, explained in her video package.
“I know so many little girls that their dream is to be a ballerina and I was definitely one of those little girls,” she explained.
During the dance, Ren wore a bedazzled black leotard with a matching black tutu that Bersten briefly had trouble detaching, which was obvious to both audiences and the judges.
After completing the Argentine Tango, Ren remarked, “It just didn’t want to come off!”
Said co-host Tom Bergeron, “We had a stubborn tutu incident there.”
Despite the mishap, judges Carrie Ann Inaba, Bruno Tonioli and Len Goodman praised Ren’s dancing skills.
“The tutu got stuck, but never mind, you were prima Argentina,” said Tonioli, who complimented her: “You’ve done a very, very good job.”
“The lift and the wardrobe, not so great. Everything else was stunning,” shared Inaba. “The incredible energy exchanged that you guys had, the resistance that you talked about, not only was it just between you two and bodies you matched perfectly, but the resistance within yourself. … There was just so much tension and that’s what the Argentine Tango is all about: tension. And you nailed it.”
Lastly, head judge Goodman told Ren, “It was a great mix of precision and passion. It is without doubt, for me, the best dance so far.”
Ren, who earned a 25/30, said of the dance: “I fulfilled one of my dreams to wear a tutu on stage. I never got to when I was little.”
Dancing with the Stars airs Mondays (8 p.m. ET) on ABC.

Alexis Ren gave her 14 million Instagram followers something to talk about this week when she steamed things up with a smoking-hot new share. The model took to her account on Wednesday, February 10 to upload the sizzling series of snaps that have earned nothing but love since going live.
A total of five photos were included in the steamy new addition to the 24-year-old's page, all of which were shot in black-and-white. The upload kicked off with a full-length look at Alexis as she posed in front of a blank white backdrop, though two more transparent images of the beauty were superimposed in the background. She stood with her legs spread apart and her hips popped to the side, accentuating her curvy hips as she gazed down at the ground with a sultry stare.
As for her look, the former Dancing With The Stars contestant looked chic and stunning in a coordinated, all-black ensemble. She rocked an oversized blazer with long, baggy sleeves that bunched up around her elbows and fell loosely over her hands. She opted to fasten only one button at the bottom of the jacket, creating a deep v-neckline that fell down to the middle of her torso, revealing that she had ditched not only a shirt but a bra underneath the garment as well. An insane amount of cleavage was left on display as a result of the risque move, as well as a peek at her toned abs, though her audience hardly seemed bothered by the NSFW display.
On her lower half, Alexis sported a pair of pinstriped pants. They appeared to have a boot cut design, as they clung tightly to her hips before flowing loosely over her toned legs. She bunched the bottom hems into a pair of chunky black combat boots that gave her look an edgy vibe.

The update earned considerable praise from Alexis' massive online audience, who have flooded the comments section with compliments for the social media star.
"These shots are so epic!" one person wrote.
"Absolutely breathtaking!!" praised another fan.
"Okay girl I'm SPEECHLESS! Literally perfect," a third follower remarked.
